Will you be able to give me your opinion on the montior when it arrives since I see you've had both the PG27AQN and Benq XL2566K. I'm interested in both Asus Monitors coming from the XL2566K myaelf. So any input will be appreciated.

I just got mine a few days ago, and here are some issues...

The biggest problem is the backlight, it's very noticeable since I use dark mode all the time:

The next problem is the 540hz mode, for the past two days, every time I turn my PC on in the morning, the monitor will be back to 500hz, and I will have to turn the overclocking off and on again to enable the 540hz option.
And today when I am using the monitor USB DAC as audio output, the audio output is just gone and I can't hear anything in-game...

The motion clarity is very good tho, but I will have to get a replacement unit

That's a bracket pressure spot, not backlight!

Have you done a "break-in" of your screen yet?

Let it run for 72 hours for liquid crystal reflow -- box pressure / bracket pressure spots can take 72 hours of 24/7 100% brightness operation to fade, especially in a cold room.

Break In Instructions
1. Disable screensaver.
2. Set brightness to 100%
3. Run for 72+ hours nonstop.

When away from the computer, display something dark to cause maximum light absorption (maximum heat of the liquid crystal layer). You really want to make that liquid warm, to help it reflow.

This will cause box/shipping/monitor-bracket pressure spots to disappear. It's like a long-term finger-press-on-steroids, that takes a long time to fade. Boxed monitors, boxed too tightly and then shipped flat (bracket weighing on its back), can cause this weird shape to show.

Fixing this is by running it nonstop for several days, to allow the liquid layer sandwiched between the two glass layers, to "reflow" back to equilibrium. (LCD = Liquid Crystal Display, so there's a fluid between the glass that shifts around whenever you press a finger on the screen.) But sometimes a bad pressure spot will take days to undo itself.

in the process of returning two of these due to broken pixels in the middle of the screen. broken pixels aside, the monitor is seriously underwhelming, buggy and missing crucial competitive gaming features I guess only BenQ cares enough to offer. at least the refresh rate was impressive.

oh and the stand is yet another asus abomination.

you mean extra contrast, black equalizer and color settings? Please elaborate if u have time.

Good news, the monitor wil be delivered tomorrow instead of Sunday! if anyone have questions let me know! I am happy to answer them!
