black screen when enabling blur reduction

Post by john » 11 Sep 2014, 07:05

Hi so i have used blur reduction before and it was working fine, then i was testing the 144hz again and tried to go back to blur reduction but the screen remains black ? i can still hear game sounds in the back ground, also if i switch it back to off just from memory of where to go then no more black screen, suggestion of what i might of changed that has done this ?

edit: testing now and it seems to be my vertical trick causing the black screen ? however no notification with "out of range"

This is because of an out-of-range Crosstalk setting that's beyond the slider range of Blur Busters Strobe Utility.

How to fix this:

1. Turn off Blur Reduction via OSD menus. The screen will come stay on. (You can do this during bootup time)
2. Launching Blur Busters Strobe Utility then sliding the Crosstalk setting to the leftmost setting, before starting the VT1350 tweak. If it's already leftmost, then slide the slider bar a bit then back to the leftmost.
3. Turn back on Blur Reduction. Screen will no longer go black.
