I had purple tint and random scanlines problems at while experimenting with LightBoost at BenQ XL2411T
The VG248QE and the XL2411T are BOTH the exact same panel. (same part number by AU Optronics). So you will have the exact same 'issues'--scanlines, purple tint, etc.
The 27" monitors by AU are different, so that doesn't happen on those. (you may still see very faint scanlines at high Vertical totals though).
