One forum member reported a potential hard disk wiper.
Be very careful where you download your software.
Some of them is legitimate NVIDIA-compatible software and another is a hard disk wiper (virus/trojan/malware)
So when you follow tips like these, please research separately and correctly download the correct software from authorized sources reviewed and recommended by multiple people. One identical package is safe and another near identical package is very dangerous! never google for executables to download, and never follow advice to google for executables -- always track them down separately to their most authoritative websites or from much more highly trusted websites (e.g. PC Gamer) that has already vetted a safe source.
Always research fully to get the proper, original authoritative sources of packages such as NVInspector or NVCleanInstall -- these are legitimate packages but some malware vendors have created malware versions of these at different "clone" websites and then sometimes hijacked the Google SEO to rank higher than the legitimate executables. Accidentally downloading software (etc) from the wrong or compromised website = your disk could be wiped by a trojan
- I found 1 fix for this but it will only work if you are lucky!
- Can't guarantee anything!
I came pass this randomly and it worked for me.
Just wanna share what I know, so we can put this huge garbage can of problem to rest.
Im gonna type exactly what I did. In this order from up to down.
Install Nvidia driver through ' nvcleaninstall after that boot into BIOS.
You'll have to remove fast boot, and even the memory fast boot from the BIOS.
Start up you computer, so It won't log anything after that.
Install MSI afterburner, overclock your GPU with higher voltage.
(Mine was set to 975 mv) I locked it and had kombuster running. After that reboot.
Now head over to ' Interrupt Affinity Policy Tool,
This is the CPU order I had, move them if possible to same CPU:
CPU 3 - HD_AUDIO_CONTROLLER_(CPU_3)
CPU 4 - INTEL_UHD_GRAPHICS_750_(CPU_4)
CPU 5 - INTEL_PEG60_4C09_(CPU_5) and STANDARD_NVM_EXPRESS_CONTROLLER_(CPU_5)
CPU 8 - USB_XHCI_COMPLIANT_HOST_CONTROLLER_(CPU_8)
CPU 11 - INTEL_ETHERNET_CONTROLLER_1225-V_(CPU_11) and INTEL_PCI_EXPRESS_ROOT_PORT#5_43BC_(CPU_11)
CPU 13 - INTEL_PEG10_4C01_(CPU_13) and NVIDIA_GEFORCE_RTX_3070TI_(CPU_13) and NVIDIA_HIGH_DEFINITION_AUDIO_(CPU_13)
Try this order if you have less cores then try to make it work at your end. (CLONE ORDER)
Now Restart PC.
Now proceed to ' MSI_util_v3.exe , and check the new PCI mode you made, make sure you check everyone
and don't miss out. Restart PC.
Now head over to MSI Afterburner again, and run a stress test through Kombuster about 4 min.
Its gonna sound really annoying now, but head over to Parted Magic Secure Erase,
download and make it bootable through rufus usb tool.
Run the USB and use the number 1 option, other words just press enter inside Parted Magic Secure Erase.
When you are inside Parted Magic Secure Erase, head over to secure erase.
Now select your SSD, in my case M.2 drive,
Important -> press on VERIFY before you secure erase, it takes 1 min longer. (You are done!_)
When I was there, I had one USB laying around with windows, and I installed it.
And everything worked after that, no sluggish mouse, no slowing down, it all worked somehow,
trust me never been happier.
I think the issue here is that something in the system needs hard reset, not even the CMOS could help me with that.
Could be electricity damage related or something with GPU and the PCI slots working with the CPU, my speculations.
I really hope this could help someone out there, anyways, please don't do these steps without any form of knowledge.
If you guys find an easier solution, just share.
Off topic.
Have a new YouTube channel: ' HiddenTweaks ' , would appreciate you guys following me there.
Anyways hope this works!
Caution as I mentioned before don't try this without any form of knowledge.
