No, my PC can handle 480 FPS constant, for the game I play, be it at 1080p or 1440p. And after I tried 480Hz OLED in 1440p, yes I do wish they made 540Hz TN 1440p. But 1080p is still ok, though. Also I am playing with native resolution to avoid pixel splitting.
Noone is questionning the fact that OLED have better refresh rate compliance, i.e. faster pixel transitions, by a huge margin. Nonetheless, 480Hz OLED still is slower than 2ms MPRT.
You mentioned OLED BFI. That would be game changing if OLED could use BFI to go lower than 2ms MPRT. But for now, that is not the case. So in that regard, MPRT, 480Hz OLED is inferior to 480Hz/540Hz TN, period. The better MPRT from TN thanks to strobing, is what makes the difference because yeah, everything else the 480Hz OLED makes it better.
I wish the PG27AQDP had been better than the PG248QP, but it wasn't the case and consequently, I went back to the PG248QP. I had no reason to be biased toward keeping the PG248QP, ofc I wanted my monitor upgrade to be an actual upgrade, but it turned out not to be exactly the case, probably because my use case is different to yours. I have tried it for a whole week during which my performance got worse, due to lack of motion clarity in key actions. As I already described it, with PG27AQDP I had to guess my shots instead of shooting on the moving enemy I would clearly see if using PG248QP.
