VRR is also great if your game's framerate range fits within the VRR range. There's a latency inconsistency mainly at the VRR-range crossing events (e.g. when framerates try to exceed Hz).

That's why I now recommend people to purchase VRR monitors with a Hz above your game's maximum framerate. This allows you to avoid the latency compromises of various capping methods (even if it's less lag than VRR automatically switching to VSYNC ON when framerates hit maximum Hz).
