I’ve tried many OLED displays of all types
You tried both desktop WOLED and QDOLED of 240Hz and up? Both 240Hz types still give you eyestrain?

(Ignoring historicals or mobiles; ignoring 165Hz or lower)

Yes, I tried it and I had the same issue unfortunately...

It will now be necessary to wait out OLED technology improvements for a while, so it falls to a different panel tech. I suggest, as an interim measure, getting special sunglasses called "computer glasses" (google that, search on Amazon, etc) -- orange tinted glasses designed to reduce eyestrain.

The nice thing is that these often cost only $20 -- much cheaper than a new monitor. While this does not work for everyone, sometimes eyestrain triggers are a combination of flicker + blue light wavelengths + brightness + etc.

Even if you don't wear them all the time, it's a useful diagnostic tool & also helps tolerates monitors you're forced to work with (e.g. displays on your desk at your job).

Low lying apple, that I need to remind people more often about.
