dont worry about not getting perfect results with testufo. just drag a window around and it should be obvious if there is blur reduction/strobing or not
I've decided to return the monitor, I just can't get it to look half decent no matter what I do.
does it look much worse than your brothers for some reason?

My brothers is the XL2420T, I actually had a look online in the hopes of finding one but it seems they've stopped making them now.

I could easily live with the image quality on his monitor, it looks pretty damn good for a TN panel to be honest... mine was always washed out, lowering brightness made it look dark and drab yet still with foggy colours, raising it induced retina burning light.

I've plugged in my Dell U2410 again and WOW! I forgot how good this monitor is, I sure appreciate it more now, that's for sure.

I'd still like a 120/144hz gaming monitor because it is really nice for games, but I'm not willing to live with the problems of the BenQ XL2430T for it.
