G-Sync game compatibility - Post your test results here
Re: G-Sync game compatibility - Post your test results here
Alright I added your results to the first post. From your results and others in the forum, it seems like SLI does have stuttering issues with G-sync currently.

yup this seems to be the case. i played about an hour of bioshock infinite this morning with SLI disabled and no random FPS drops and no stuttering. hopefully they can get a driver out soon to fix this.nimbulan wrote:Alright I added your results to the first post. There appears to be a lot of issues even getting games to start for other people. Hopefully nVidia can address the SLI problems soon.frankzotynia10 wrote:yup this seems to be the case. i played about an hour of bioshock infinite this morning with SLI disabled and no random FPS drops and no stuttering. hopefully they can get a driver out soon to fix this.

I updated my Far Cry 3 results after playing some more since there seems to be an intermittent stutter I just can't get rid of plus worse results in co-op and also added Guild Wars 2 with decidedly mixed results.

new beta drivers out yesterday. it makes BF4 at least playable when SLI is enabled. Still experiencing a bit of microstutter but it is much much better.

That's good to hear. I did look at the release notes and say a note about fixing crashes on boot with a 144 Hz monitor on SLI so hopefully we'll be getting some more SLI results soon.frankzotynia10 wrote:new beta drivers out yesterday. it makes BF4 at least playable when SLI is enabled. On a side note I've tested a few more games and added them to the original post: Skyrim, Stacking, Fallout New Vegas, Darksiders 2, Max Payne 3 to name a few.

This is redundant. iPresentInterval doesn't do anything anymore. It used to work in earlier versions of the game, but in the current version it's ignored. If you set it to 0 and V-Sync to 'Application Controlled' in the NVCP, the game will still be applying V-Sync (and some form of Triple Buffering). The only way to completely disable any kind of V-Sync in Skyrim is to force V-Sync to 'Off' in the NVCP, which overrides the game's V-Sync. Of course G-Sync still works though (also overrides the game).
I run Skyrim 100% stock/vanilla, and the streaming hitches are still very noticeable.nimbulan wrote:G-sync runs very smoothly as long as the game engine is not loading data. Unfortunately it does so very frequently, causing lots of sudden stuttering. The severity and frequency of these stutters is most likely increased by the number of mods I have installed.

My Acer XB270H arrived today and i just wan't to chip in with a few titles I've been testing today.
Shadow of Mordor: Runs perfectly smooth, no stutter, hitching. Tested it out at 60hz and 144hz both ran very nicely indeed.
Assassins Creed: Black Flag: I was hoping G-Sync would cure all hitching with this game but nope, still not very smooth even with g-sync and not very pleasing on the eye. Smoother than it was with V-Sync enabled on my old Benq but still disappointing, must be the game engine.
Metro Redux: pretty smooth on the whole, I cranked up the AA to 2x SSAA so I'd get a more varied frame rate, anything from 40-70, a few hitches here and there but on the whole a smooth experience. Oddly enough, Metro Last Light for some reason doesn't run that smooth at all, plenty of stutters and hitching, could be a driver/g-sync issue though as I don't remember having an issue with the game before.
Watchdogs: Same as black flag but worse, you can't polish a turd it would seem.

Your Shadow of Mordor experience is the same as mine. Definitely one of the smoothest-running games I've played recently. Last Light on the other hand I've only played briefly since getting G-Sync but don't remember having any issues with it.
Re: G-Sync game compatibility - Post your test results here
It's certainly G-Sync causing the stutters in Metro Last Light, Switched G-Sync off and tried it with standard v-sync, far smoother.
