The Eizo Foris FG2421 is an incredibly good monitor. I believe it is the best monitor on the market and that's unlikely to change anytime soon. VA panels contrast ratio and black levels are unmatched by IPS and TN panels. This panel is also incredibly bright. I've read complaints of brightness on other panels being too low when strobing. FG2421 is blindingly bright when strobed on max brightness. I keep mine at 49/100 brightness.

The downside to the above is that this panel has about a frame of lag in strobe mode. I can't notice the lag personally when toggling between turbo240 on and off but some people can I guess. I'm very sensitive to input lag and do not notice it whatsoever. I have a 1000hz mouse and play at 120hz strobed. You can play with turbo240 disabled and have zero frame lag (<15.6ms) but then you lose the near perfect motion clarity.

The other downside is the strobing method can't be tweaked like on the BenQ and has 2ms of display persistence meaning the picture is ever so slightly less clear in motion than a fully tweaked BenQ monitor. In practice it doesn't bother me at all but the display persistence is not quite ideal. By comparison, BenQ has 1ms of persistence which equates to perfect motion clarity and zero frame lag strobed. It's ideal for competitive FPS games but the color, black level and contrast are not good by comparison. One might argue that contrast and black level allow for the human eye to pick out details faster.

Lastly, the Eizo panel is a bit of a gamble. Many reports of bad samples. And at that price, you'd hope for better quality control. Mine isn't perfect but I feel the advantages of this panel are so vastly superior to anything else on the market, I can live with some very minor defects. It really reminds me of my old CRT.

I'm not so sure about your monitor, I'd have to go digging but according to tftcentral's measurements, the FG2421 has 18ms lag with turbo240 on and 14ms lag with turbo240 off. 14ms is under a frame of lag, aka zero frame lag. I'd hazard a guess that the lag on your monitor is also under a frame. Almost all of these 120hz or faster panels have zero frame lag.

Mouse microstutters at high refresh rate. At 1000hz, the microstutters are virtually non existent. This information is freely available at the website you're at, you can see here http://www.blurbusters.com/wp-content/u ... vs1000.jpg.

Also 1000hz is slightly less input lag. Wanting good performance isn't limited to any specific video game. Everything I do is affected in some small to massive way by performance inconsistencies and it adds up. Smooth mouse input, blur free motion, these are benefits that can be seen across the board and not in just a video game.
