I see. Fair enough then. Bethesda, if you're reading this, it's called motivational, incentive-based shaming.

Titanfall is capped to 60fps, but there is a way to uncap it:
http://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic ... 2996#p2996
And it may simply be a bug in the beta -- that the game actually was designed to run well at other frame rates, but minor bugs are simply preventing it from doing so.

So let's consider it on "probation" since it is a beta.

Titanfall has very strange behavior. Turning vsync on removes the FPS cap but causes really horrible microstuttering, at least on my system with G-sync enabled.

I'd also like to add, I played Monaco the other day with G-sync enabled and it ran at a constant 77 fps for some strange reason. I'm not sure we should be listing 2D games here though as they generally use sprite animations and would have less benefit from an increased framerate compared to 3D games.

Other limited games I can think of off the top of my head:
- Stacking - 30
- Costume Quest - 30
- Doom 3 (original version at least, not sure about BFG edition) - 64 <- this is one well known game that suffers from the "64 Hz" bug though it exhibits different symptoms from Gamebryo games.
- Skyrim is not limited? I'm not sure why you have it listed. You do run into potential glitches and crashes by letting it run at a higher framerate as with all of Bethesda's games but it will easily go past 60 fps.

Just FYI, Skyrim can be uncapped easily w/a config file. Still trying to figure this out on ACIV.

Not really. The physics engine somehow relies on 60FPS. If you uncap it, you get more then 60FPS, but the game goes SNAFU in some situations. So you can't really uncap it.

That's the standard solution for any Unreal Engine 3 game since the developers almost always leave the default cap of 62 on. I did find an exception last night: Dungeon Defenders. Not only does it have 4 different config files with that setting, but the game automatically turns it back on and sets it to 62 when you launch the game, no matter what the config file says.

I would like to (hopefully temporarily) add Saints Row 4 to this list. The latest patch for the game a month ago completely broke high refresh rate support and the game now forces 60 Hz no matter what is specified in the video drivers or the game's config file. I posted on the official game forums about the issue and never received a response.
