I bought - Acer KG251Q 240hz

i got my acer KG251QD 240hz
ulmb works but default EDID doesnt use increase vblank times to try and strobe during non-refresh
so the ghosting is bad in ulmb mode, no matter the refresh (85 or 120)

i also cannot achieve the high VBLANK intervals mentioned in the MPRT debug area in service menu
changing any of the settings other than overdrive also seems to not do anything ? this is the highest vblank i could achieve, any higher and monitor just goes blank while the mode is active:

EDIT: The MPRT settings do take effect you just have to exit service menu with 2nd button from left, hit 2nd button from left to turn mprt off and then back on, then hit 1st button from left to enter service menu again which is inconvenient.

EDIT2: No matter how much i change "shift" i cannot get a good result for ULMB without ghosting, its as if the monitor is taking my high VTOTAL resolution, buffering it, and then scanning it out slowly like it was the default 120hz resolution... (whats also strange is that with the high VTOTAL timings, it detects the hz as 127... not 120, everywhere in the menus incl service)

EDIT3: yeah in ulmb mode at least, it buffers the entire input frame so it doesnt matter what VTOTAL you are sending, then re-sends the frame using the settings in the MPRT debug menu to the panel

EDIT4: this actually isnt that bad aside from the fact that you have 1 extra frame of latency in MPRT mode for no real reason, it means that you can "overclock" the panel in MPRT mode just by changing the VTOTAL number in the MPRT service menu. higher VTOTAL = more time for pixels to transition == bigger window to adjust SHIFT with.

EDIT5: unfortunately i wasnt able to get VTOTAL higher than 2400, any more and the testufo starts stuttering (panel internally frameskipping due to pixel clock too high i guess, whats interesting is that this stuttering happens both in mprt off and on modes, meaning that 120hz is ALWAYS buffered like this)
