Definitely but wait for how long? 4-6 months at best? I am not sure if there is enough interest around 24" 240hz IPS.

Huh? o-o I don't know if you're aware of it, but at least Acer Nitro XV253QX is going to be available any month now (Q1 2020), look it up.

Also, not enough interest? Maybe it's just me, but I think the reason is the complete opposite; they know people would much rather get 24-25" FHD monitors with 240Hz. After all, 240Hz monitors' target audience is gamers. IPS is a sweet bonus of having a good picture quality. 24-25" is the undisputed ruler of competitive gaming, not 27". Which is why, as I speculated here, I feel like companies would obviously rather maximize profits as much as possible, so they release 'new gen' monitors in bigger size, thus higher price, rather than release both variants and potentially lose money with people opting to go for the smaller sized ones.

Maybe go for an 240hz newest TN-Panel?

I ordered last week the Benq XL2546 and amazon left me hanging. Waited 1 week and still the packet didnt found the right way to my home ^^ So I canceled the order (because i couldnt wait any longer) and went to shop and bought that shitty AW2518HF. The only thing that was available

So im having a really bad time right now playing fortnite on that crap monitor.

On RTINGS the ASUS TUF VG27AQ got an really good review. Maybe i should consider this one?

And? I'm from Israel. Who cares what's available in your country? Get your monitor online (Amazon).

And? I'm from Israel. Who cares what's available in your country? Get your monitor online (Amazon).

Warranties, customs, tariffs, chances of getting a defective monitor, replacements, all of that adds up. For whatever the cost of a monitor is in the U.S. (I don't know about Israel), it'll also about +$100, but since OP doesn't seem to have included a budget, perhaps that's not an issue. If I was buying from Amazon.com, the major thing I'd be worry about is the replacement policy and warranties.

That same source that said Q1 2020 in EMEA also said that it would be available in Nov'19 here in the US, and guess what, its not.

Don't get me wrong, I know the "competitive" gaming audience likes 24" but in this tech race, bigger is better, Viewsonic XG270 being a great example.

I enjoy competitive CSGO so I am with you brother. Can't wait for 24" 240hz IPS, but if you are like me and can not wait, just go with the newer panel now and upgrade later.

Sometimes international shipments are way more. I've paid $300 to ship a display internationally (independent shipment to independent address -- not a purchase). The shipping prices Amazon charges are often a bargain compared to this.

It's painful. In some cases, it is easier to just repurchase the display locally, when I'm dealing with a complicated situation.

It also affects historical Blur Busters monitor giveaways, e.g. When someone is in Australia, and I have to ship a monitor from Canada.

Chief, I don't know if you recall, but I'm the one who, 5 years ago, made the thread that you've had pinned for ages, confirming that the XL2420Z version on Amazon US had the V2 Firmware. They even said that in case it wasn't V2 Firmware I'd be able to return it for free.

I placed my order on a Wednesday night, ~11PM to be exact. 4 days later, Sunday morning, the delivery guy knocked on the door and delivered my monitor.

Not only was the monitor not available in my country at the time, but even when it became available, it was wayyy more expensive than the price I had paid on Amazon. There is no import tax on monitors in Israel, so I only had to pay the local tax (which is 17% of the price nowadays, but it used to be 18%. If the item is $75 or below then you pay literally $0 extra, but since we're talking about monitors, it was obviously not the case) + shipping. since the base price was low, even with the additional fee it was considerably cheaper than any price we've ever had available here. Obviously if I were to use an external freight company to import the monitor it would have been more expensive (probably still cheaper than the local price, though), but seeing how it was a direct Amazon purchase, it's made things so much easier and cheaper.

Obviously it all varies from country to country, but I've noticed that Amazon EU prices are always considerably more expensive than Amazon US, so the price could potentially even out, or at least, not be the deciding factor for OP as well.

I have no doubt in my mind that I will import my next monitor as well.

So I hadn't really planned on getting a new monitor until, about, 8 days ago, really. I'm getting a whole new setup (desk and what not, not a new PC) and also picked up the praised premium dual monitor stand on Amazon, despite the fact that I currently only have one monitor (my XL2420Z that I've had since mid 2014). I knew that sooner or later I'd get a new monitor, because I did know (for months now) that the new IPS monitors are supposedly around the corner (my friend had been holding off on getting a new monitor for ages now due to that reason, so even though I haven't looked up things myself, my friend, who shared his thoughts with me, has led me to that information). I checked again this past week and realized that 240Hz IPS monitors have been starting to flow in, so I realized that I will probably be buying my 2nd monitor sooner than I had expected.

To be honest, even if I had been trying to get a monitor for months now (and that's not the case, as I just explained), I feel like I genuinely would still force myself to be patient and wait for the 24-25" 240Hz IPS ones, because you're not buying a monitor every other month. You're going to use them for years (I've had mine for 5 years, and I'm still going to use it as my 2nd monitor), so what's another couple months extra to wait in comparison, if you've been waiting up to this point?

Yeah, I was wondering what's going on with that. As I said, I only started looking them up these past 8 days or so, so luckily I hadn't been depending on this source for months and consequently let down by it, as I had no clue until a couple days ago. With that being said, and as I already mentioned, all of the 27" variations being released (Dell, ViewSonic, as you mentioned, and Acer now all have 27" 240Hz IPS monitors if I'm not mistaken), in my opinion, constitute a pretty solid evidence that their 24"-25" counterparts are just around the corner.

In fact, it seems like you can already get this monitor in Asia(?) That surely means something.

IMHO, even if you've been waiting forever now, I'd still advise you to just hold off just a couple months extra. You've come too long, why give up now? If it were earlier this year then that would have been a different story.

Yes -- It's very good when a manufacturer (or Amazon, or a team-up) is able to pay return shipping. It can be cheaper for them to pay for it than for you to pay for it, because of their shipping agreements and corporate accounts with couriers.

Also some countries more heavily subsidize their postal systems which can affect things, while a different country makes it crazy expensive out of wazoo.

Check out stratospheric shipping prices for direct home-to-home shipping Canada-to-Australia for monitors, and you'll quickly see it's just often cheaper to repurchase the monitor for that person on Amazon. Ouch!
