I replaced the capacitors on my ViewSonic VX922 a couple years ago and it is running great. I bought some super cheap ones on amazon from some Chinese company for less than $5 including shipping (from China) and they worked great. I originally went to radio shack and they didn't even have enough of what I needed and it would have cost over $15.

Good thing I am fixing the dead capacitors in my old flat screen. My 17" CRT is making my brain feel cramped!

On Benq US facebook page. A few months ago they said the 27" one is scheduled for June and the 24" has been pushed to September.
Now they are saying both are delayed till June.

Im at work now, so dont want to spend time looking for it again. (I dont use facebook, so i aint following them or whatever)

I am pissed tho, was kinda looking forward to that 27" one. The asus 27" one seems a little too expensive when i consider 16:9 monitors to be only a temporary toy while i wait for the first 120hz widescreen (i am told it is gonna take a while).

Very expensive. I'm hoping for a G-Sync monitor in the $400 price range.

The AOC 24" is it. Its 400$.
I really hope there is a 27" 1080p version for not much more. 24" seems kinda small.

For 1080p it's perfect.

Well, my first monitor was a 14", and since it was a CRT the visible area was even smaller than the one listed in the specs (around 12-13"). And when I got a 17" CRT (somewhere around 16" visible) I thought it was HUGE. And then came my 19" TFT and I thought it was HUMONGOUS. Then I've got the one I'm currently using, a 23" LED TFT, and I thought it has a Godzilla-sized picture. And now we think 24" is small

It'll never be enough, will it. It's almost as if your monitors are shrinking with age. Maybe they're losing fluids

I would say that pattern will continue until we get a curved cinematic eyefinity replacing high res monitor at... i dunno 40"? Id argue that we might have an actual eyefinity replacer - the LG 34um95. But its slow and has no variable refresh. But we are getting there.

1080p @ 27" is more pixelated for sure. But if it has gsync, i can use 4xAA without headaches and be fine.
Also it is easier to use desktop on 27" 1080p. Easier to read and what not.
Im using a 29" cinematic ips right now, there is no way im going down to 24". 27" 16:9 min, as it has the same area.

Most importantly cost.
A 27" 1080p gysnc should be around 450eur/550$. (i might be underestimating the greed of manufacturers).
The only 1440p version costs 800$. It is hard to pay that much more for a slight resolution upgrade.
Ill pay sums like that for displayport 1.3 bandwidth utilizing monitors.

I think I'm going to be the guy who hops on the 1440p 120hz+ Gsync train.

I have the QE with Gsync, and I love it. All I want is a higer res and larger screen. 21:9 sounds nice, but I have a feeling a really nice 21:9 GSync monitor that is decent resolution is pretty far away.
