I also noticed Fr33thy dropped allot of his old recommendations when he got new tools to test latency. Interesting you think the old recommendations still stand.. If u find other stuff he dropped its more then welcome. Gonna look in to it. tnx.

There are literally 1000 tweaks you can do to optimize Input Lag. But the most impactfull tweaks are: Upgrade PC Hardware, Upgrade Monitor and tweaking your system. There are many tweaks you can do to reduce input lag alot. Tweaking your bios, tweaking windows and tweaking your game settings.
Its too much stuff, so I recommend you a good youtube who knows all this stuff. His name is "fr33thy". He tested every single tweak with his input lag analyzer and he knows what he is saying! He is probably the best youtuber in this section.

He literally tested every single tweak. He even made a list somewhere, so people can see the actual numbers. Some tweaks gave a input reduction between 10-30%. For example overclocking your GPU, Limit Frame Rate (so GPU wont hit 100% Usage), Optimize Bios and more...
How about you test it and then we can see if things work or not? You have a tool for 500$ to test latency?

I have 5000h in FPS games and im playing on a 980Ti x i7-4770k. Currently Im on a new Windows Built with the best tweaks you can do. And men... the input lag is like a day and night difference! Before, I had 40-70ms total system input lag. Now its only 30-55ms. In some games its only 25ms-40ms.

hi, can you tell me which version of windows are you using? GGOS? REVIOS?
