On top of everything else like no lag, best blacks, and zero blur, the possibilities of multiple resolutions (based on the non-fixed nature of the device) really caught my attention. This is the only display technology I've seen so far to have little to no compromises based on picture quality (the exception being resolution, and even that is temporary). I would love to see an update on this project really soon.

In the meantime: http://electronics360.globalspec.com/ar ... tor-vision

Back in March, it was reported that Sony ordered millions of dollars worth of components from Microvision.

http://geekculture.co/sonys-new-mobile- ... -revealed/

And now they unveiled a pico projector of their own, with a mini-hdmi/MHL input. It'll be released on October 2015 and possibly more modules will come in 2016.

The form factor plus the unusual 1920 x 720 resolution looks identical to the Celluon pico pro. Most likely will be a rehash of the same product, but i'm still hoping there will be some improvements (like picture setting options and better focus).
Look forward to seeing more laser projectors on the market --

Regarding unusual 1920x720 resolution, for laser scannning, horizontal resolution is much easier since it's simply laser modulation as it draws a line. The speed of scanning (aka "scan rate") is probably a mechanical limiting factor on the vertical resolution, while there's no mechanical limiting factor in the horizontal resolution.

Is there any way I can get in contact with Light23?

I found a Microvision Showwx+, VGA dock and everything. I'm going to get it as a Christmas present and I wanted to see in advance if it was possible if he could build a screen/monitor for it. There is no way I can PM him in this forum because my account is still fairly new, so is there ANY other way to contact him?

He said back in January that he was going to start building screens for users that already had pico pros. Is there anyone who has received these screens by now, and if so, how was the result?

I just pmed him with a link to your post. He hasn't visited the forums for almost a year so not sure if he'll get a notification.

Hey everyone sorry I have been gone for so long.I had trouble logging in for months and just got it to reset my password FINALLY. :|

How many folks are interested in JUST the speckle reducing screens?

Royal, PM me and I will give you the screen size ratio options and pricing.

"We are sorry, but you are not authorised to use this feature. You may have just registered here and may need to participate more to be able to use this feature."

This is what I receive when I try to PM someone or read PMs. I've also tried friend-ing Light23 and subscribing to this topic to see if that is good enough, but nothing changed. I can't contact anyone, and I cannot get contact from anyone else. I seriously wouldn't be posting about my troubles on a dedicated topic like this if I could do something about this.

If there is a minimum amount of posts required before messaging someone, I would appreciate it very much.

Hey light. Did you have success with building prototype monitors?
Glad to see you are alive and well

Yes. The latest prototype I built uses 8 lasers (All different wavelengths to cover the most color gamut. )
I had to redesign the monitor enclosure several times to accommodate different display setups. Some using cold laser mirrors to reduce projection distance other methods using chromatic separation film to steer the laser beam for final laser alignment. I took what worked best out of every version and am working on the final version now.

Its b..<bUrP> beautiful..g..guys...I..I mean, y..your eyes! Nobody's eyes have never seen anything this..advanced..like..no..no pixels and no speckle or.. or.. anything.
It's color and smoothness is.. <bUrP> .. its like mesmerizing to your eyes...y..you gotta buy one..you..you gotta...you gotta see what it can do...its hypnotic...

For those that just want the screen though I can still sell those separate for those that have their own laser projectors. (14" to 35" screen sizes available)

hello! great thread!

Are you using celluon picopro projectors? have you tried Sony's MP-CL1?
I've read picopro is blurry and not "true" HD resolution.
Is their refresh rate overclockable? with lower resolution?
Is it possible to stack them to produce 16:10 ratio in 2560x1600?

thanks!
