Definitely get the zowie for pubg.Grasshopper85 wrote: ↑26 Sep 2024, 07:54At the moment,
The asus pg248qp is like $400-500AU (~$300USD) cheaper than the xl2586X.
Should I get that? Or should i really opt for the zowie if I want the most edge possible in PUBG?

I am actually considering the PG27AQDP now.
From what I can see and in the reviews, the 480Hz Oled seems to be very close to motion clarity of the 540hz TN.
LOL i just can't make up my mind.
I can't get both to try because in Australia we cannot return opened electronic goods.

Re: New Zowie Monitor 540Hz XL2586X
I sold my pg248qp for arround 439.euro and got the xl2586x for 1147 euro. That's a 700 euro hit.(I would do it again) Please read my post above where I mention that e-v-e-r-y single option the xl2586x has is made to create a CONTRAST between the enemy and it's surroundings. The pg248qp is not that kind of monitor. It's a fast monitor, but dark with ulmb2 and very low on options in creating a contrast for enemies. Ulmb2 is the only option contrast wise it has thats worth a look and it's meh cause the screen gets a huge brightness hit compared to the xl2586x with dyac2.Grasshopper85 wrote: ↑26 Sep 2024, 19:12I am actually considering the PG27AQDP now.

If you don't really care about max visibility in Pubg then go for the 480hz 1440p oled M10S Sony (dp 2.1. on it is capped though, still needs dcs, it has less bandwith then hdmi 2.1. see https://youtu.be/nIgHNP-9SvY?si=syFGV2oa7rqGbYje&t=456 ) maybe? not the pg248qp. The M10S let u adjust 6 colors and there is a mode that boosts outlines of enemys. No idea if the latter is a gimmick.
You could also wait on the pg27aqnr (holidays 2024( or the 600hz zowie xl2586x+ https://www.reddit.com/r/Zowie/s/BishzaCQw4
I think the latter will arrive arround spring 2025. Personally I find the pg27aqnr the most fascinating cause oled is not there with getting rid of blur. The pg27aqn ulmb2 had a very clean ufo but went from +- 550 nits to 210 nits when u activated it.

I think the XL2586X+ will arrive around spring 2025. ( usually when a pre-zowie is spotted on a Chinese producer site it takes around a half year or something. could be more or could be less. dont take my word for it. ruff estimation.

This new pulsar tech sounds good. But why is it better than dyac2 from a competative stand point if they both drastically reduce motion blur?
Is pulsar going to reduce blur even further?
And is 360hz enough?

Dyac2 is not compatible with Gsync. Pulsar is. Maybe it doesnt take a big hit on brightness alsoGrasshopper85 wrote: ↑27 Sep 2024, 14:03This new pulsar tech sounds good. But why is it better than dyac2 from a competative stand point if they both drastically reduce motion blur?

Do you think you will upgrade again from the XL2586X to the XL2586X+ or the Asus? Probably not worth getting the XL2586X+ when you already have the XL2586X. I'm my case I have to now decide whether to keep my XL2586X or return it.

And is 360hz enough?, now I kinda want the XL2586X+ already haha. And the Asus seems also very intriguing with the Pulsar technology.
