It's hard to say. According to the facebook post by ASUS, pre-orders may begin in early August so that could mean they won't get here until late August. As for EU, they've had pre-orders open on some sites so late July may be correct.

Awesome. The monitor's performance looks good. Well, at the price they're selling the thing, it better be

According to TFT Central, the colors are excellent for a TN. But I don't see them mentioning anywhere at what refresh rate they did the color tests. If they got these results in 144Hz, that would be mighty impressive. But somehow I suspect those are the 60Hz results?

I'm impressed. The monitor has a strobe lenght setting in the OSD. At 120Hz, it ranges between 0.25ms and 1.875ms. There are three overdrive settings: off, normal and extreme. Looking at the overshoot data, the normal mode seems better than BenQ's AMA. Unfortunately ULMB only works at 85, 100 and 120Hz. If it worked at 60Hz, I would consider buying it in the near future.

60 Hz strobing would be unusable for the vast majority of people. Way too noticeable flicker.

My largest disappointment with the screen is the low cd/m2 brightness in ULMB mode. Pretty much have to keep it at 100% pulse duration and 100% brightness just to get a usable for gaming 120cd/m2. All those super fast pulse duration (and epic motion clarity) will be too dim to use. :(

Vega, 60Hz strobing is still a useful option to be available - not everyone needs to use it. It is usable for consoles at slightly farther view distances (2:1 ratio view distance relative to screen width) where flicker becomes less of an issue. It should be a choice that exists, even if not everyone uses it.

Strobe length adjustable :)
All the way down to 0.25ms.

Ya Mark, was so excited to see those super quick strobes. Well until I saw that associated luminescence levels lol. Should be a killer monitor for motion clarity though in a pitch black room.

Any speculation on what a .25 to .5 ms strobe should do for motion clarity? That's even faster than a phosphor rise and fall time and make it the clearest display ever (albeit very dim)?
