Bah.Just buy a XG 2402 already and move on.It is that simple.

I love my Asus Vg258qr but people arent same.People like 3D cinema,I hate 3D cinema. We humans and our very different opinions.

Is a mix between the fact we are all different, and also how "spoiled" our eyes are. If VG258QR was my first high refresh monitor, prolly I wouldnt spot any problem. But I/we got spoiled by monitors with proper overdrive implementations and great no smearing response times.
Having a proper model like xg2402 or LG 24gm79 side by side with asus vg258qr, puts the asus one on a bad spot, just by scrolling on a mere website. If I never seen what perfection is, I prolly wouldnt find any problem.

Btw guys, Asus is releasing a new version of this monitor, but 24 inches
Asus VG248QG 165hz 0,5ms monitor.
TFT central says it is a new 24 inches AUO panel, but I honestly doubt it, much more coming from that website.

Interesting. That model reaches 165hz by overclocking.Even in 1080p 165 hz it needs overclocking.Maybe my model also overclocks when I select 165hz.So this means all 165 and 240hz monitors are bs.

I am glad I didnt buy a 240hz monitor.I would feel like a donkey right now.

I best should try 1080p 144hz today.I guess it is the limit of this technology.

I knew it.Those b.......rds.
144hz plays a lot better in multiplayer games.Tested both in CS:Go and Paladins.A lot better scores.I knew there was something wrong with my 165hz performance in those games.

Well to be fair. I am quite picky about my monitors. Just because I sit behind them for hours and if there is something obviously off about them that pretty much glares me in the face when I do something... then yea.
Unfortunately the XG2402 isn't sold in europe so not possible. But what I did notice is that the XF272 started rolling out, a new 27 inch 1440p tn panel with high color reproduction. I might be interested in trying that one.... but dunno. I've had a lot of monitors to try over the months
