i dont know. share your hdmi cable.
and try to find dp 2.1 with good shield + ferrit
I can't identify the brand because it's an HDMI cable from a very old TV.
photo it
That's not necessary. Just now it all came back. Yes, the input lag nightmare is back in full force. This means that everything I concluded was wrong. I'm very frustrated now.
Did you try a fiber optic cable yet or only a shielded cable with ferrite?

Would try optical cable before ruling it out.

I don't have fiber optic cable. If your experiment works, please let me know.

I was the one that posted this thread originally and that fix is still working just fine for me (Displayport fiber optic cable - the hybrid type I guess you can say). I don't have a reason to believe there would be much difference between hybrid types and the pure fiber type that separates the power like someone posted earlier because for me the hybrid is doing the job just fine. But if I had a monitor that supported HDMI 2.1, I would try out the pure fiber version just for fun.

So I would still suggest trying even a hybrid cable and see if it helps you.. hopefully they are easy to obtain where you are at and at reasonable prices and easily returnable if they don't do anything for you.

I have tried almost everything. The only things I haven't tried are fiber optic cables and isolation transformers. I will buy a fiber optic cable now to try. I can return the product within 7 days without any reason in my area.

I tested the optical cable and my conclusion is that the input lag has not decreased but increased. It seems that my computer has a power system problem. This is my conclusion.

1) it is not true experiment if you get 1.4 aoc. you need 2.1 version
2) try to find cheap dp cable (1.4 but better 2.1) and kill electrical ground contact between pc and monitor (kill ground pin / kill shield connect on monitor side).

I have given up. If there is other interference in the circuit system, it proves that it is not the problem of the monitor connection cable. So now the problem comes back to electrical interference.

it can affects on cables (power/data) only.

Optical fiber and optical cable are different

I don't know why this topic needs to be discussed for weeks now, it's one of the things that don't really affect latency or EMI, just move on. It's cool to have a more flexible cable for those who bought it.
