[Ethernet Onboard-vs-USB-vs-PCIe] I finally found the reason behind my input lag after 6 years

Everything about latency. This section is mainly user/consumer discussion. (Peer-reviewed scientific discussion should go in Laboratory section). Tips, mouse lag, display lag, game engine lag, network lag, whole input lag chain, VSYNC OFF vs VSYNC ON, and more! Input Lag Articles on Blur Busters.

This is a pure interference problem. According to your lan-cable, there is no less interference than from your socket. If you have grounding, this may indicate that it is of poor quality. Sorry for the photo quality, but you can see the upper value of 300v/m. For reference, from my socket to the PC comes about 500v/m. I also feel that wi-fi feels faster. I do not die behind walls and something like that. The mouse also feels freer. These facts make me think that this is not an internet problem after all.
Do not think for a second that this 20$ device is in any shape or form an accurate evaluation of the electric field.
You need a proper oscilloscope, good probes and a spectrum analyzer to have a remote clue on what's actually happening in real-time and for comparative purposes.

500V/m... quite a concerning value to say the least. I think you should call up a proper team of electricians to evaluate your situation, if this is a picture of your home.
Not for gaming reasons, but this can be a health hazard.

any fixes for realtek gaming 2.5gbe family controller RTL8125BG, because my games are delayed.
I've had 2 built decent spec pcs in the last few years and suffered with desync a lot, the only constant thing in those was the realtek 2.5ghz ethernet port. I've literally just ordered an intel pcie NIC and will get it it tomorrow to see if it finally reduces it consistently.
Hello, did you get your intel pcie NIC ? any updates ?

Yes, not resolved but discovered a few things. Still testing and will make a thread soon.

Thanks to both of you for testing and sharing results but if you have intel and realtek nic can you do the test with same settings. For example both nic with msi on,and with these settings on both nic.

I have an Asus B550 Tuf gaming Wifi plus motherboard. And it uses Realtek 8125b onboard.I've been experiencing desync for a very long time.I have applied many things written and drawn, but I haven't gotten any results yet.
Dear kyube, my question to you is this. You stated it like this - RSSBaseProcessor on 2 in registry, but I don't know where to change this in regedit.Secondly, you wrote it like this: - Change limit from MSIUtil from 1 to 4. But in my case, the maximum appears to be 32. Should I still change it to 4?.Sorry for English, I use translate.I would be very happy if you could help.Image

Been a while since I've visited this thread lol

These 2 links should help you:
https://github.com/valleyofdoom/PC-Tuni ... rface-card
https://github.com/Duckleeng/TweakColle ... figuration

Be aware that “desync issues” may be something unrelated to the network card and driver DPC/ISR scheduling at all.
It can be a hardware stability issue in form of RAM / CPU / PSU / SSD causing the macrostutter or microstutter, a networking issue further down the line (your hands are completely tied when it comes to this) or something else entirely.
It's hard to pinpoint the exact cause without deeper analysis.

It would be better if you could list your hardware (cpu, mobo, ram, ssd, os,..) instead, as that would help the troubleshooting process.

Did anyone figure if realtek onboard network is bad compared to buying an intel pci-e nic?

Thanks

i find the onboard realtek ones better than the intel ones, especially the stuff like intel i219-v, but if you want to get a separate nic, go for the intel i350-t2 or x540-t1

i got i225-v, it is not worth it at all, still having same issues. My onboard is way better than this pcie.
