First impression; Monitor feels great in PUBG. Quake Live feels good too. I don't think its placebo. If someone has questions let me know!
I'm assuming your not reaching anywhere near 540fps in PUBG, how does it fair at the lower refresh rates? Are you using G sync and how is ULMB2 say in comparison to Dyac+?

I've not long sold my XL2566K, so wondering if this is a viable upgrade or whether I should just replace it with another Benq.

Thanks
It feels great with the lower refresh rate. I get around 240-550 fps in PUBG. In my opinion its a myth that backlight strobing is not working on lower refresh rates. Maybe not 1000% optimum but its there. Had that with my Zowie monitors also and I have a feeling the GSYNC processor plays a role also in keeping frames straight even without GSYNC enabled. ( I heard that in the ASUS America stream on this monitor)

I don't use GSYNC cause I use ULMB2 and it looks great. Brightness is good. Just as good as the XL2566K maybe even a little bit better. Its 10000 times brighter then the PG27AQN with ULMB2.

Visibility is very very good with ULMB2 better then on the XL2566K; it looks very clear in heat of the moment situations. Plus u have that responsiveness that is just topnotch. On the XL2566K it always felt like meh is this the fastest out there? where if u crank up the AMA the screen just goes weird and gives a untrustworthy experience with the overshoot. . Not this monitor. Every time it feels very good cause its insanely fast with very good visibility. The balance of insane good visibility and insane responsiveness stays in place no matter what.
I like the 24,1 inch also better then the 24,5 inch. It tops the XL2566K in every department visibility wise and the responsiveness.. Maybe the only thing the XL2566K has is a sharpening option and some extreme contrast settings. But U can tweak that in the NVDIA ctrl panel also.

Thanks for the prompt reply David, so would you say its worth the extra 400? I can get the XL2566K second hand for €500 euro here and the new PG248QP IS €990.

Also in terms of visibility are you talking clarity of enemies and so forth? It's one of the things I struggled with on the XL2566K coming from a 27" 1440p monitor.

Also out of curiosity if you had to choose the XL2566K vs PG27AQN what would be your choice?

If u still used to 27 inch then this monitor is going to feel small too.

With clarity I mean for example looking in a enemy's face when hes pointing at you where u can see the details of his face on a medium or close distance AND when the enemy starts moving it really starts moving. Not a blur first then a real movement and then some blur again. Its gives you a better incentive to start shooting and where to shoot.

On the Zowie monitors its always blurry compared to this monitor. where on a 27 inch its a bigger surface that's blurry. on this monitor the surface is smaller but way more detailed.
I think its worth the 400 euro cause it will get you more wins.

Makes perfect sense what you've said, I'm going to having a think tonight and maybe tomorrow I'll go for it.

Have you ever tried OLED and what's your thoughts against this new monitor?

And, what's your thoughts comparing it to the PG27AQN?

Finally what would you say was better the PG27AQN or XL2566K?

Thanks again.

Never played OLED cause its to dark. I am curious though about the next OLED beginning 2024. The 360hz 1440P one with HDMI 2.1.
But if it does not get bright its kinda useless to me also.

ULMB2 is unplayable on the PG27AQN cause the screen gets too dark plus this monitor feels faster then the PG27AQN .

I rather play on the XL2566K then on the PG27AQN cause the XL2566K has backlightstrobing (DYAC) with a bright screen. The PG27AQN only has backlightstrobing with a dark screen where u cant really track enemy's with. And that's the point of backlightstrobing; tracking enemys.

That gives me a way better idea, appreciated. How would you say the PG27AQN vs XL2566K motion clarity wise??

By the sounds of it your new monitor was a great buy, we'll have to see how the new OLEDs fair but I also think the PG248QP will still out perform for competitive gaming

The XL2566K wins motion clarity wise of the PG27AQN cause the PG27AQN is so dark its literally overshadows the clarity ULMB2 provides.

Hey y’all, long time lurker here. To those who own this monitor, is your OSD joystick really loose seeming? A few times moving to the left I’ve heard a terrible popping sound as well. Thanks!

Yes, I get that pop sometimes when moving it Left. Moving Up/Down/Right seems normal.
