I just ordered 3 of these monitors and did not know of the bug .....
It will not be solved with a firmware upgrade without having suitable equipment ?
Should I cancel my order?
It's a personal decision you will have to make -- especially if there's a penalty for order cancellation.
I'd have waited until March to order, just to be safe.

Have you ever used LightBoost or other motion blur reduction strobe backlights before?

Thank you for answering

For two years he had a XL2420T and know the functions you mentioned.
I decided after many sacrifices to buy 3 monitors from 27 to realize my dream station games but I am very disheartened by the bug

According to Thee is no way to update the firmware?
I can still cancel the order because it was not sent

If you are unsure or worried, then you should cancel and wait.

Does XL2411Z have this problem? Thinking about buying in a good store that accepts returns and run the test.

Ok now I think it's only a matter of time and then I can send you a PVT.
Meanwhile, I thank you for your time and answers

I have the monitor. Without this side i wouldn't have noticed this bug (in whole product lifetime)

I have really really tried to reproduce it in Counterstrike Global Offensive ( Motion Blur @ 1920x1080 120 and 144hz, with 120, 240 and 300 fps)

For my eyes (no glasses or so) i dont see that dobble lines @ house / sky / backround borders. With the Browser and the Test in the lower 1/3 of the screen you will se a second line.

=> what this is worth you must know.

I had an Acer 19" 1280x1024 2ms Display, An Samsung 2433 Bw, The XL2720Z, An Samsung 55" F6500. I cant really say that the Picture is bad @ 2720. Subjective better than the 2433 BW and not so brilliant like the 55" TV.

But quiet fast. I really like to Play CS GO with it and it's "the one and only" shooter monitor for me until now.

the 2720T is not really better because he hasn't the bugged feature. => so u can switch it of @the 2720z too.

I use it and I think @ CS GO it is better than without it (bug or not).

Today I received a message that my Programmer is shipped now. (i like the monitor but I am Interested in having it without bug... )

=> I not really se alternative Monitors. EIZO is a little bit slower. ASUS won't have an adjustable foot, socket, (dont really knwo the word in english, the unit where the monitor stands on).

I worte a 40 side work for my study and its also quiete cool having 2 DinA 4 Sides on Screen. Resolution could be a bit higher but it is an gaming monitor and a higher resolution is absolutely crap for this.

Because: for best view @ 144hz you need 100fps & more. A new game like BF 4 or so doesn't get it with a Titan. Sometimes Triple SLI has a Problem to get good framerates @ higher resolutions.

Do what you want to do. If you will think on the bug everytime (its more psychic than noticable) send them bag. If you want to fix it by yourself do it (if i cant fix it i will send it to benq when they have new monitors, but thats the last way i want to go). If you can live with the knowledge about the bug do this.

EDIT:
The ----> T <---- Versions don't have the feature which is "bugged"

EDIT2: If my update works (with help of Chief), I would help german people (and others but my english is not sooo good and so I think Chief is the better teacher XD ).

I instantly notice the issue once framerate exactly matches refresh rate (120fps == 120Hz), especially when strafing left/right via keyboard, and looking at high-contrast vertical edges.

It is also much easier to see during framerate-locked motion, as strobe backlight motion fluidity is amplified by frame rate matching refresh rate matching strobe rate. (when games get the maximal CRT effect, being as smooth as TestUFO)

Just like some people don't see tearing, some people instantly see it.
Some people don't see stutters, some people instantly see stutters.
I instantly see the issue.

Yup I understand what you mean but for him I think it is interesting what he will see in "normal day use " of this monitor.

if here is anybody who found the game ingame I would be really suprised.

I will try another test now in CS GO... I dont want to be ignorant or so ^^

Tested it now:
You can se it ^^ "de_dust2 sky/house @along " 120fps locked, 120hz running with a and d (no mouse view) => but only @last 1/3.
^^ its not perfect ... (but i'll try to fix it in my case (chief / returning monitor) if you are hard playing a match ... you wont really look in this area ^^

I would like to try to fix the bug from me for three monitors with the help of Chief Blur Buster which I would like to ask a few things in private, but still my profile does not handle PVT.
