So first impressions, I wasn't blown away by the strobing, I mean it's the best I've ever seen but you can still see crosstalk in the top portion of the screen at speeds 1400+ on UFO test. I was expecting that aspect to be better but from what I've seen it's no worse than the other 540hz panels. What also annoyed me a lot was that VRB locks the brightness, and it is super bright. I guess approaching 300nits, I usually use a screen around 200nits. So for me the VRB brightness was actually too much, I would have loved a pulse width setting to make the strobing stronger and reduce brightness. I ended up adjusting the colour settings and using a higher gamma to make the screen feel dimmer.
Colours - this is my first TN in like a decade. I was expecting it to be shit...and it really isn't. The colours are great. I had to fiddle with the settings for a few hours (panel was leaning warm and oversaturated) but now it looks fantastic. As good as any IPS I've owned from front on. As I said on another post it's 10bit, and if you turn off DSC you're stuck with 422 colour compression but 540hz still works.
For the money (I got it for 500 quid) it's a complete no brainer. Why would you pay twice as much to have slightly better OSD settings? 540hz feels fantastic and the strobing keeps the action clear. Oh one more thing the joystick control on mine feels so trash!
Overall I give the product an 8/10, value for money I give it an 11/10. Acer are still selling the 390hz IPS for nearly £500!

i buy the asus pg248qp and send it next day back cause my mouse was feeling very slow it was not fast responding like an input lag

I have a 2566k and I picked up this 540hz Acer model a few days ago. I think brightness is a very personal thing, for me the brightness with vrb at the extreme is very low, I can't use it with the screen that dark, it's a much lower brightness than the 2566k with dyac+, but without vrb a screen has a higher brightness than 2566k. In fact, the monitor is responsive, but I found Zowie's implementations to be much superior. the black eq, color vibrance and sharpness make a lot of difference in distinguishing enemies and dark places.. the acer's super sharpness is very strange, unusable. The Acer's colors are better, but in game it's a difference that affects very little, the biggest difference is in navigation, the white is really white and not half washed like on the 2566k. I ended up keeping the 2566k and returning the Acer, because despite it really being a more responsive monitor, I didn't like the sharpness of the monitor and the Acer's implementations.
