Hi randomly stumbled across this post, I just upgraded from the PG248QP to PG27AQDP myself and wanted to offer my experience.
I ran gsync (no vsync) without ulmb 2 on the TN panel and with identical settings the 480hz OLED actually feels smoother in CS2. Not too significant of a difference but definitely noticeable. I was worried about the downgrade from 400 nits to 275 nits but my eyes quickly got used to it. Competitively I'd imagine it's not that much of an advantage but it's definitely an upgrade in terms of comfort.
Going on a tangent in recent years there's been a shift in the tour de france towards comfort vs absolute aerodynamic gains on bike frame geometries. I think it's a very similar parallel.
Glad to hear it, it seems the 360Hz OLED, 480Hz OLED, and the 540Hz/360Hz are all pretty close in terms of competitive advantage, if you are playing unstrobed then OLED beats LCD, if strobing then obviously OLED losses but the differences are not too huge

Yes, that's pretty impressive for strobing. Usually, strobing has at least 1-2ms penalty, but near-zero penalty is nice.
It's also kind of a symptom of non-zero LCD GtG (nonstrobed) versus global flash (strobed). If it was 0ms GtG, there'd be less lag for non-strobed. (At 500Hz, even a 1ms GtG is half-a-refresh-cycle to get to VESA GtG90%!)

are there any settings you really need to change on these 360hz oleds out of the box or they basically good to go>?

Some screen protection options need to be disabled to not incur image quality penalties. For example there's an option on some displays that dim the outer pixels around the center of the screen. It looks like a vignette effect and results in uniformity issues. Another example is "logo detection", that dims static UI elements.
It's a trade-off between screen protection and image quality. I have them disabled because I don't use my display at 100% brightness to begin with. I have it set to 30% for normal use, and 40% for gaming. If you drive your OLED at 100% brightness (or near it) all the time, enabling these functions might actually be a good idea, not sure.

what monitor do you have? my aw2725df almost out of the box needs 100% in my opinon
