That's my setup, will i get any problems with the Glossy panel?
if Is it is the case, are these bearable? or are they quite annoying?

That lamp is the only light that i have on in my room at night.

Yes. Huge problems. The lamp needs to be behind the display. Maybe you can turn it and have it point at the wall behind the monitor instead.

Also, I see your keyboard has lighting. You will most probably see the keyboard on the screen as well, depending on the angle you're viewing the screen.

Being honest, i'm used to having the lamp this way, having it pointing at the wall will make me feel strange. I've been playing this way for years.

Yep, my keyboard has lighting, but it is not too bright.

About the glossy panel, does it reflect light that much? therefore you cannot play on the morning,unless you have all your room without any natural light.

I've seen videos/reviews of this panel, having the room much more lightened than my room at night, and i didnt see any major reflections at all, only if you put something really close to the panel.

If Glossy panel, in my case will perfom really badly, should i try to switch to this one?

I guess is the same monitor, but matte panel.

It is quite reflective. During the day, I close the curtains. I don't darken the room or anything. I just avoid direct light on the screen.

Do you have a TV? Those are usually glossy and reflective. It's gonna be about the same.

Reflections are visible in black areas of the screen. If nothing is black, then reflections don't stand out much. What you really should avoid though is direct lighting on the screen.

I don't mind the reflections. It's up to you. It's a trade off. Glossy panels have more reflections, but the image is clearer. Personally I was also worried about reflections, but it turned out to be fine with me and the extra image clarity is something I really like.

After watching many reviews about glossy vs matte panels, The Glossy asus that you've tested is recommended by many reviewers, also is considered to be one of the best 1440p monitors on the market at the moment.

I'll probably get it , once i've get it i'll post my impressions on this thread.

By the way. Are there any OLED monitors that are going to go on sale soon? Maybe if I wait a little, a monitor with better specs may be launched. Dont know how's the market at the moment.

No idea. But when I bought this monitor, a month later the price was cut by 100€ Release MSRP was 800€, now it's 700€. Maybe because Asus launched the 480Hz 1440p 27". But that's quite expensive (and it's matte, not glossy.)

The next generation of panels will use RGB subpixels (same as LCD, which improves sharpness of small text in Windows,) but 1440p monitors with that will probably come somewhere in 2025.

But in general, I suspect OLED monitors will stay overpriced compared to OLED TVs for a long time. (You can buy a 42" 4K 120Hz LG OLED TV for about 800€. The only reason I didn't go that route is that 42" is way too big for me, and I like 1440p more than 4K.)

Even many gaming monitors (BenQ) cost a lot more than the average TV, so there's that.

The prices will fall quickly to yesteryear gaming LCD levels, but TV panels are manufactured in over 100x quantities -- so that is better scale of economies there;

Found out that there's an oled glossy monitor 360hz for the same price than the asus.

The only question is, do you guys know, if there is any difference between these two?

The only thing that would matter to me is the non-upgradable firmware. I would simply buy a different $700 monitor that allows users to upgrade firmware just to show a middle finger to MSI.
