The full path to fix the problem.
Re: Input lag and desync problem due to RAM?
In the end I checked all the formulas and settings and finally came to the conclusion that if you get desync on xmp it doesn't matter what settings you apply....

Re: Input lag and desync problem due to RAM?
I'll also add that such a solution greatly spoils single-threaded performance and therefore you'd better look for a good set of RAM that won't have desync in games ...
Make your entire system cool very well and the room temperature is low with good air circulation, buy lottery processors with lottery memory controllers from overclockers.
remember, if you get xmp desync in games, then no settings will help fix this problem (I guess I don't know, at least I couldn't fix it.).

Re: Input lag and desync problem due to RAM?
@naporitan, what do you think, how to choose a "desync-less" DDR5 RAM?
What is your opinion about ECC-RAM? Will it help?

I don't know how to find good memory for games, but you don't need to chase mega low latency ram... Don't buy RAM on bdie samsung chips because they are hot... Don't turn on performance mode in nvidia settings because the video card generates a lot of heat and can theoretically heat up the RAM... ECC ram is for server tasks and they are not suitable for gaming systems.[email protected] wrote: ↑08 Aug 2025, 05:26@naporitan, what do you think, how to choose a "desync-less" DDR5 RAM?

It is important to understand that the problem is not in temperature conditions(maybe), but most likely in the success of the memory controller in the processor. too many variables for problems to arise...
Re: Input lag and desync problem due to RAM?
I cool my RAM with a water cooler (EK Monarch), but what's actually even better is to get a 120mm or 140mm fan and position it so it blows directly onto the RAM. You'll never see temperatures above 40°C again.
PS: I also have Desync XD

Re: Input lag and desync problem due to RAM?
If you are very rich, there is one solution for you! You can assemble a system based on a 14900ks processor and the best RAM with extremely low timings and buy a water cooling block for RAM and a water block for the CPU and connect all this to a Hailea aquarium chiller!
And you will always get a cold system! At full load, you will always have a frequency of 6ghz and the RAM will be in a stable state!

Re: Input lag and desync problem due to RAM?
I know, but luckily i have a AsRock x670e PG Lightning motherboard that supports ECC RAM. Maybe the desync problem will be corrected wth this RAM or doesn´t exist because of choosing better materials? Is it worth to test?naporitan wrote: ↑08 Aug 2025, 06:13ECC ram is for server tasks and they are not suitable for gaming systems.
