You're talking complete nonsense. The video clearly shows that scaling occurs on the monitor side. BenQ monitors don't need cru because the monitor supports it at the hardware level, not the software level.Hyote wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025, 17:25The only way to see whether or not display scaling is in effect is done by checking active resolution in the monitor settings. Your settings still result in GPU scaling and as far as I know display scaled resolutions can only be added via CRU. You are either spreading misinformation on purpose or really believe this to be true just to believe something is good. I'm providing an example of the correct, true scaling setting on a BenQ XL2546 monitor. (Information taken from the official BenQ website).
My system is completely clean without any settings like CRU, regedit, bcdedit, etc.

No, check the monitor info tab and you will see that the active resolution is 1920x1080 which means it is not display scaled.naporitan wrote: ↑29 Oct 2025, 03:13You're talking complete nonsense. Re: How I fixed my desync (fake scaling)
your monitor doesnt have any display scaling resolutions (like 1024x768 / 1280x960 on xl2566k). But u can add it (like how i do it on previous xl2546s), and display scaling will work perfectly.naporitan wrote: ↑29 Oct 2025, 03:13You're talking complete nonsense. Re: How I fixed my desync (fake scaling)
I already recorded a video—the trick is to remove the GPU resolution and add the desired resolutions to the cru. That's it. After that, you can be sure you have displayscaling enabled. The only way to check this is to launch the game, set the resolution, and go to the monitor settings. If you see the current resolution as 1080p (or another native resolution on your monitor) different from what you set in the game, your display scaling isn't working, and it's simply faulty and poor GPU scaling.

You are wrong, but in any case GPU Scaling is much better.Slender wrote: ↑31 Oct 2025, 18:55I already recorded a video—the trick is to remove the GPU resolution and add the desired resolutions to the cru. But you don't explain why. Your XL2546 doesn't support 1280x960 or 1024x768.
You'll never get true displayscaling without cru on this monitor. Unlike the xl2566k, where I don't need cru. All I need to do is delete gpu res.in sre.exe

Re: How I fixed my desync (fake scaling)

I have 2566k too. When I went to cru 1280x960 360hz was already there . Can you explain or link a url how you removed it from gpu scaling?
