Also, think about it would this honestly solve what you're writing here? If you asked any pro, they wouldn't even know about this, yet their mouse feel is excellent. That's the key point: if everything else is identical, then electricity is the only thing left that could be the problem.
Instead of dumping time and money into it, why don't you just ask an AMI BIOS engineer? Maybe they'd share some secret. Or you know what? Look into the 2013 AMI BIOS source code it's available on the internet.
Maybe there are things that haven't changed since then, e.g. USB port handling

ONCE AGAIN, MY PROBLEM STARTED BACK IN 2011 WITH SAME PSU , SAME CPU , STRICTLY FORWARDED BY HUGE ARCHITECTONAL LEAP IN MOTHERBOARD'S POWER INFRASTRUCTURE, IN DAY 1 WHEN THIS CPU WAS ASSEMBLED, stop trying to convice me about your bullshit emi/rfi theories, i have been literally not experiencing this issue for 14 years before i assembled new pc that went from analog and plain stupid hardware based power delivery to "smart" and dynamic ( APM to ACPI to be correct) power delivery that is used as standart to this days!. I don't even know why you mentioning Linux vs Windows, smi is literally above os and only reason i switched to Linux is because u can read almost everything since it's open source making it more ideal platform to diagnostic. Oh yeah and even if i don't know any "magical regedit registry" , actual device drivers both from vendor or generic windows could be multiplying this if it calls for "generic SMI function".

1. How is knowledge about this issue from random pro's related to this issue. 2. How do you know their mouse feel is excelent? Do you know player named Oskar? He have been complaining about this for long time, and although he may be not that famous for new generation players, he is respected and known legend mainly from cs 1.6, i view him as czech version of Guardian which is viewed as awp legend across 3 cs versions.Also, think about it would this honestly solve what you're writing here? Of course I know this, since motherboard manufacturers are given a framework and they only build the UI and switches for it. However, it does matter what each motherboard vendor enable —for example, ASUS and MSI allow the most settings, while ASRock and Gigabyte allow the least, though that's not really important.

Then how do you explain my previous solutions? Others tested them too, and it's not placebo. How does a random electronic phenomenon affect the mouse? In my case, only the mouse is bad floaty, you know? Even though I tried your USB 2.0 controller mode setting, it didn't do anything, but I guess you'd agree that it's not a solution either.

I'm not talking about CS 1.6 pros there's donk, NiKo, m0NESY, they hit shots that are unreal, and Faceit pros too, but I guess you don't play CS. Take them for example: I'm sure they don't bother with this SMI topic or anything like that, yet their mouse feel is fine.

UI AND SWITCHES OVER IT? LMAO. AGESA / ACPI firmware is literally board specific, literally stuff that defines your irq routing and power behavior
. I do agree that usb 2.0 controller mode had no effect on my z790 but had really positive effect on am4. Their shots are good but i wouldnt call it unreal once you have no problem or less severe problem
, i've will bet my left kidney they got that are not aware because of less severity and from my experience from z790 and current am5 the x and y axis jitter on mouse device is a lot better compared to coffe lake machine i had in 2019, it's a lot better but the slugish slow mode that is in my opinion performance jitter cause by code pipeline stalls always remained in different strenght, definately playable yet not how it should run. Your view is random "dirty" electricty that somehow can't escape once pc is connected to "infected" network. I want to focus on platform firmware and how driver telemetry is handled, smi is true and existiting mechanism u can't ignore and sadly can't measure
, even random bios mouse settings like "Legacy USB support" are SMI events, PS/2 support is SMI event, various pci-express features can trigger smi but can be also treated like sci either by switching something in bios or installing correct device drivers. I'm not even providing a "FIX" its just i want to find ways how to reduce smi events and time that cpu spend in smm mode while servicing some random thermal or voltage sensor , effectively stealing time that could be used to execute your game code. I think your playground was moved into off topic.

There's no point in arguing I don't think you'll find anyone here who knows what SMI is. I don't know either, but that's fine everyone can learn something from each other. Most people here are just regular gamers who want to play, plus a few people looking into the issue.
If this really is the problem, then congratulations, you found the solution! But the issue is that you always post some fix that sounds good it was the same back then, you started looking into something like DMI, or I don't even remember anymore, and then you just dropped it.

not trying to argue, but from your youtube comments and posts here it looks like you're mad im not giving you one instant toggle. i cant ignore that for me the problem started with a mobo change. same cpu gen, different chipset and bios. that rules out "this board sucks at ram, buy another one" answers and psu experiments too.
thats also why i stopped chasing voltage tweaks and auto to fixed conversions. setting vsoc/vddio to fixed might stabilize something but it doesnt touch what i actually think is going on. what im looking into now is the event chain itself. how an input travels through firmware handlers before it reaches the os, and what interrupts the cpu along the way. thats a firmware timing question, not a voltage one. how fast firmware reacts to an event and how fast it hands control back. if firmware sits in smm for even a few dozen μs at irregular intervals, no ram tuning fixes that.
i know smi isnt something most people here deal with and im not presenting this as "heres your fucking fix". its a theory based on facts and what im sharing are bios tokens that could reduce smi frequency or shorten smm time. asking people to try and post back, not claiming i solved anything altrough from my subjective perception it runs perfect now and may be delusional again and even if emi was a real problem on your end, you still cant ignore smi. its NOT OPTIONAL. its a real thing that steals cpu time and the os literally cant see it happening. Sorry if it sounded like I wanted to pick a fight of course I didn't, I just want to solve the problem too. As you can see, I've been a forum member for quite a while, since 2022, but this issue existed even before that. For me, it started around 2019–2020. That said, I really respect that you're the kind of person who actually dives into topics like this no one else did. Naturally, if you suggest something useful, I'll try it out. I'm looking for a fix for this floaty mouse movement it's honestly unbelievable that I move the mouse and it stops somewhere else, I constantly overshoot, and it just doesn't feel crisp/snappy.
