After using 1440p on 27", I can certainly notice a difference on blurriness up to a meter away from the monitor (when playing on FullHD) when using ADS (if you are always with a sniper optic/scope then it doesn't really matter).
Some games like Apex and Overwatch allow you to use a higher render scale and then I'm able to see far away enemies again when unscoped. Obviously, I can play with both and perform the same but for my first 240hz monitor, I'm picking a 24.5" fullhd for my 240hz. It's cheaper, I perform the same and the blurriness when switching from my 1440p 27" won't bother me.
Games where it would bother me the most: Warzone and Apex Legends.
Overwatch is ok.
CSGO and VALORANT it doesn't matter. There's no running targets and visibility is always great.
