I see, thank you! very very helpful information for me !
sounds great for my fifa then! about VTs, did you ever test the 182/185hz large VT trick described on this site? could not see that you made a video or screenshot with that, maybe I missed it, as that would be very interesting to see imo the result on the testufo strobe crosstalk test (the big one with ufos from top to bottom) any chance for a test video with that 182/185 hz trick with big VTs? again sorry if you already posted it somewhere!
also, I guess last questions if you have time and energy for this request in near future (no stress etc) would be, what are your current/optimized strobe utility settings and also color settings / profile in the OSD menu on monitor ?
(do you use fps mode, standard mode, what did you set R-G-B to etc?)
whenever you have some time left over in near future if you could write down ur current settings (maybe gaming settings vs desktop/movie settings if u are using separate ones? etc) because it would be cool to test them myself later on, or at least have some reference point, since of course there can be differences between individual panels even on same monitor model..
anyway thanks again and appreciate it so far either way!
I didn't try the 182/185 large VT trick, to be honest it looks quite good already at 240hz so I've never felt the need to go lower to reduce crosstalk.
As for OSD settings I use FPS mode for games which I believe is already calibrated because it forces custom RGB values (99-100-99) (it's intentionally slightly oversaturated), you can manually mess with sharpness but I wouldn't go higher than 8.
Dyac ON: Dyac Premium with AMA Premium
Dyac OFF: AMA High
For content consumption set Gamma to 4, color vibrance to 10, Black eq to 5, RGB to 100-98-96, everything else to stock settings.
If you enable Freesync(or other VRR techs) AMA Premium has a little bit more overshoot and AMA High is slightly weaker(and completely overshoot free, it looks like something inbetween AMA Off and AMA High when VRR is disabled)
When you use Dyac make sure that you can always output 240+fps all the time(or make a custom resolution with a refresh rate that you can always achieve).
I used to play with Dyac enabled and uncapped FPS but lately I've been using Radeon Chill with a 242 fps limit (which translates to a perfect 240fps cap ingame) and I'm loving it, frame pacing seems extremely consistent and there's always a single frame being loaded in the same scanout, which translates to no tearing, you can use RTSS if you don't have an Amd card (idk about Nvidia's driver fps limiter, maybe it's on par with these two fps caps).

Hey Everyone, I used to have an ASUS VG278Q which i sent back to be fixed due to some dead pixels and then I brought the xl2546k monitor. First off, I'm new to this monitor stuff and had know idea about any of this stuff two weeks ago. I have read thru this forum twice and I am starting wrap my head around it.
I noticed straight away that dyac+ gives me a headache, i don't even need to be playing a game. Just turning it on gives me an instant pin like pressure between both eyes unfortunately (it was such awesome looking game play with it on thou, cod war zone btw).
So now I'm running dyac+ off with AMA high and capping my game at 180fps (rtx 2070 super) my frames move between about 140-180fps and this seems to work pretty well. but if i cap my frames too 144fps so i can constantly hit the fps, i get motion sickness.
I'm wondering a few things here which i hope i can get a better understanding with.
1. Why i am getting a motion like sickness at 144fps and not at 180fps? overshoot? ghosting? I'm worried that i wont be able to use this monitor for any games that I cant hit 180fps.
2. Is this the best monitor for competitive fps for me? if i cant use motion blur(dyac+), if i cant hit the max frames 240fps (in cod war zone), and if I'm sensitive to motion sickness caused by I'm unsure. Is there possible a better choice out there for me?
Anyone's opinion here would be much appreciated, thank you all in advance and thank you all for what I have already learnt about monitors just reading thru your posts.
Also I'm yet to use free sync properly because of vertical lines popping up in game menu but i will try fix that hopefully with CRU as someone said how to early in this forum.

Hello, this is my first post!
I recently picked up the new 2546k and have put a few hours into researching and testing the best options for reducing crosstalk. A popular choice for some people out there is the 182hz trick. Running this monitor around 180hz would be very beneficial to me for the games that I play, however, I'm facing out of range errors when attempting to use values similar to the ones the 2546 model uses in the advanced strobe crosstalk guide.
After some calculations, the best I've been able to do is 200hz with a 1350VT while maintaining the same pixel clock. Has anyone out there been successful in reducing crosstalk with larger vertical totals? If so, would you mind sharing your results with me please? Thank you!

1. Running 144fps with a 240hz monitor without freesync will create a lot of tearing/refreshes showing the same frame, try freesync (the VRR implementation is quite good with my 5700xt).
When you speak about strobing I hope that you are not using dyac if you can't reach 240fps 100% of the time, this comes with a massive motion clarity/stuttering penalty.
2. Competitively speaking yes, there isn't a single 240hz monitor beating the XL2546K in terms of motion clarity, both with Dyac ON and OFF.
In terms of response time there is no other LCD monitor faster than this, regardless of the refresh rate, unless you take extremely high overshoot overdrives into consideration.
As for warzone, I can handle 144fps when the monitor is set to 240hz with Freesync disabled, you may want to enable Freesync w/vsync and AMA High for a smoother experience, this combo is stutter free with the best frame pacing.

Thanks axaro1, your information is helpful to me understanding how my monitor works better. Freesync defiantly helps with the motion sickness feeling at lower fps (144) thou i am noticing input lag now or i feel as thou i can (I play on controller). And yeah I was using dyac+ while i couldn't hit 240fps consistently, I didn't realize that would be a problem ha ha oops.
I am wonder thou if i could change my monitor to a custom hz using a CRU, so that I could match the hz of my monitor to the fps that i could hit in that game. Removing the need to use freesync which i believe causes input lag, and stop any tearing/refreshes at the same time. That would be ideal but I'm not sure possible. I guess ill have to keep playing around

The FAQ for slider position is at bottom of

Small update,
try shifting the strobe phase from 10 to 18 with Dyac Premium
with the Blurbusters Strobe Utility, this way
the first and last 2 rows have crosstalk and the rest is pretty much flawless.
I recommend
AMA Premium since it completely eliminate any form of afterimage in the low crosstalk rows.
I still need more time to mess with VTs but I'm quite sure that I can eliminate crosstalk even further (I remember tweaking VT during my crosstalk video but I recently reinstalled windows and reset my monitor so I still need to find that VT sweet spot)
It's more like the first two rows and last like four rows that are bad for me.
