should i not buy it from USA amazon? can we upgrade firmware?クゼ・ヒデオ wrote: ↑20 Jun 2020, 09:56Hi,
if I buy the XL2546S now, can I update the firmware later on manually or do I need to send back the monitor to BenQ? Probably there's a huge difference between v001 and v002 when it comes to strobing on lower frequencies... It's finally on stock in Germany but I'm not sure if they will send it with the newer firmware that's why I'm asking. Any could be helpful and much appreciated. Thanks.
As far as I know, v002 fixes a very specific issue with DyAC not keeping its settings between saved profiles and shouldn’t have any effect on actual hardware functionality, someone made a video with this but it’s not very clear. I opened a ticket with BenQ but haven’t heard back from them regarding firmware upgrades.クゼ・ヒデオ wrote: ↑20 Jun 2020, 09:56Hi,

Thank you! Does it very weel, amazing quality, is almost like see directly what there are if you are in front of monitor. Thanks in advance !Falkentyne wrote: ↑14 Jun 2020, 11:11My precise question is, does it double strobe at 100hz? Or does it single strobe? You can just look at 60hz and 100hz...if both have an obvious double image across the -entire- screen like 60hz, then its double all the way. If 100hz has at least part of the screen with a nice single smooth image without a double image, it's single strobe.![]()
Scrubz, can you do a favor for us?Dirty Scrubz wrote: ↑16 Jun 2020, 21:09New video at 100 Hz with tweaks in the service menu and custom VT. I used the crosstalk fullscreen test to show the results:
Those of you who will soon be receiving your orders, please check your firmware version as the latest should be v002. If it is the new firmware, please do the same tests as me and report your results so we can compare if there's any differences.
Thanks.
im not a strobe or monitor specialist but this looks really goodFalkentyne wrote: ↑20 Jun 2020, 16:13Thank you! I'll have to buy this monitor if my XL2720Z completely dies and nothing comes out that can single strobe at 60hz in the future. 100hz and 120hz is important to me because I like to play vsync on/blur reduction, and it's hard to maintain 240fps/240hz in games like Overwatch and Apex Legends. I"m still mad about the 60hz situation. I wish I could do some undocumented strange setting to find a backdoor to 'trick' it but I guess that's just not possible. (I've seen from the unofficial Gsync+ULMB simultaneously monitors like the Dell and others, that they CAN single strobe at 60hz, just ULMB can't be enabled specifically there).
Little to none if you push the strobe phase below the crosshair area, read this post by Chief: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6206&start=80#p51211
