VT1304 is the maximum stable VT found yet for 240hz operation.
Its not supposed to do astonishing improvements, since its only widening Vblank interval from 100 to 224 pixels which is not much at 240 frames/sec scanout rate.
Other known tricks to improve MBR experience is triple lock (240hz-240fps-240 stroberate) and reducing contrast to lower crosstalk visibility.
Personally I use MBR full time, 45 brightness, 50 contrast, 50 sharpness, gamma preset 4, faster overdrive.
1:1 scaling mode.

The large-vertical-total tweaks via CRU thins-out the strobe crosstalk zone at top/bottom -- allows you to squeeze more of the crosstalk offscreen.

As is typical for a lot of strobe backlights, crosstalk is worse at top/bottom edges.

Larger vertical totals on some displays -- allows you to make the crosstalk bars thinner at the top/bottom edges.

Thanks, I tested the CRU settings that K2Viper posted a few pages back.. and unfortunately, it looked it a little worse for me.
Right now the "gamer1" profile out of the box seems to be the best in terms of quality.

This is the best gaming screen so far because of the 240hz 1ms blur reduction.

However, the colors are bad. I would NOT recommend this screen for anything other than gaming.

Yep. hardware.info's review isn't quite as detailed as tftcentral's stuff, but they do provide a nice chart for the color and gamma curves. The problems this particular model has cannot be corrected through the OSD alone, an ICC color profile will be required to fix it. I only have my experience and their review to go by, but I noticed everything had a sickly green hue, and turning it down low enough to make bright and saturated colors more balanced gave a significant red / blue push to everything darker or less saturated. That is prooobably a characteristic of the panel and how they've elected to tune it themselves out of the box.

tftcentral is still reporting that they plan to review the monitor, but have yet to receive a test unit. Once they have an icc profile available for it, you could probably install it and then eyeball the rgb levels in the OSD to get it mostly right. It'll certainly be an improvement to the out of the box performance, even accounting for the fact that each panel will be a little different.

If you want best picture you should really look into SRGB or standard with all the setting set to default. FPS modes just mess with the color settings and they are pretty useless IMO.

Colors wise or crosstalk wise?

The better one is roughly VT1302, rather than the VT1304 or VT1330+ which seemed to turn out a little more unstable. It is normal for color quality to potentially degrade during faster scanouts (e.g. 1/280sec) but the crosstalk bars should thin out slightly. On the other hand, it depends on whether your priority is improved motion blur reduction...

Actually VT1304 proved to be more stable. It ends up in exact 239,760hz refreshrate, which is stated in users manual as a native 240hz mode.

Btw TFTCentral received their samples and ETA of the monitor review announced mid-May.

k2viper, when all was said and done what were the best VTs you found for 120 and 144 strobing modes?

I havent tested 120-144hz modes much. I stick with 240hz VT1304 mode. Max working VT in 120-144 was 1582 afair.

The only trouble 240hz@VT1304 has, that rarely screen randomly goes black and back again, looks like loses DP signal for a moment. But that is easily fixed by power-cycling the monitor through OSD, and after that, issue do not appear again for a 5-7 days so I dont care about it much.
