On paper this monitor looks great

But... never forget acer monitors always have higher input lag than their competitors

For example, asus pg259qn 1,6ms
Acer Predator 360hz 2,2ms -> similar to 240hz monitors

Paying 550€ for a 360hz/390hz monitor that is as fast as a good 240hz and slower than 280hz, no go to me.

Just before someone says "you cant notice", oh boy I do notice and why would I pay 600€ for a non matured product

That applies to 360hz monitors in general tbh

VG279QM is better imo, minus the fact it has 27 inches, not optimal for shooters imo

Great to see you back Notty. Also, there’s a guy here who was one of the first people to get this monitor back in like February I believe and did all proper testing (his username is lyrill, you can find him on page 22 of this thread). That aside, I’ve heard nothing but good things about this monitor from users who have upgraded from their 240hz including XL2546K users. And I don’t see how a 0.6ms difference in input lag could be perceived by a human but who knows.

Hi 😁

You can notice 0,6ms

I remember noticing 0,3ms differences between the top tier 240hz and 144hz monitors.

Fez years ago I said on this forum that I hoped rtings one day reviewed Asus VG245H 60hz monitor, because I had a feeling it was the fastest I ever tested (back in the day I played e-sports titles on console). After they reviewed it... bang.. fastest 60hz monitor ever (8,7ms)

I always noticed how Viewasonic xg2402 was fastest 144hz monitor (you can still find old threads with me praising it). Bang, rtings shown it was almost as fast as 240hz panels in that time

Trust me, you can feel input lag, the lowest the better

There is no other way. Generally speaking, the lowest input lag, the better, the higher refresh rate, the better. All as long as it results on better motion clarity and mouse input.

I am from the Internet era where 30fps was good for everyone, then our eyes couldnt see past 60fps. Then the "144hz to 240hz is useless and not noticeable". Been there

I refuse to pay 550€ for a 390hz monitor that is slower than 240hz models. But thats me

Welcome back man!

What do you mean by 390Hz is slower than 240Hz. Input lag wise? If yes, that could only be a very small difference. Input lag results are something that should always be taken with a big grain of salt.

You're insane man if you can tell a 0,3ms input lag difference. Do you also test input lag on mice/keyboards and such? The differences there are much more significant I've heard.

How do you know this, have you tried the monitor or tested it? Or are you basing this on the monitor being made by Acer? XF252Q was the predecessor of this monitor and it was very good in terms of input lag compared to other 240 Hz monitors at the time. I don't see why XV252QF would be worse especially since it has been praised by a lot of people.

Guys go vote it at https://www.rtings.com/monitor/suggestions so we get some kind of objective data.

I've got an alienware 360hz and sick of the overshoot. Wondering if i get the xl2546k or this monitor? They don't have this in my country so it's about $150 more than the benq.

I have seen people being able to enable 398Hz on this monitor (for example @huddleaim in Twitter):

E8siMjpXMAAaIFY.png (18.93 KiB) Viewed 6655 times
I don't know what tool they have used (CRU or Nvidia Custom resolution).

Have anyone here been able to achieve the 398Hz and do you think there are any benefits of doing so?
