As I remember when announced, the discussion were :

- Is it (like said in computex), a first real 240hz 1ms (or 0.5ms) monitor that have really better colors/image quality that all of the other TN 144hz/240hz 1ms of a theoretical "previous" generation?

- Is there a real improvement on the GtG or MRPT of TN panels, or is this an artefact? (a virtually fastest response time (strobbing etc OR a marketing created irrelevant spec)

- Are theses new "real" 240hz native TN monitors? (It was said that all of the other current 240hz TN monitors, while being called "native" by brands, were in facts overclocked native 144hz by panel manufacters).

All theses questions are interesting, I remember also some discussing about the advantages of G-Sync at 240Hz for "low" demanding games (CS:GO, etc..), in order to reduce any blurry scenario (ghosting, inverse ghosting, motion blur, etc..).

Asus, Aorus, Msi, Acer, etc.. everyone, one after an other, are releasing their "new 0.5ms 240hz tn monitor". I'm sure if there is a real improvement, at a time Zowie by BenQ will release one and it will be the more stable (with less inverse ghosting and such blurry things) of all, like it always have been.

Not on the market for a fast gaming monitor at the moment, but if there is a really noticeable improvement on image quality, I think theses model can be considered for a buy. High performance TN monitors have a so crappy image that any improvement in this sense, while keeping the fastness, to my eyes is something worth considering.

Happy Monitors discussions!
