Nope, not opinion. If i said something like this
"There's just no reason to buy TN since fast ips monitors already do the same job(fast pixel response times) while having better viewing angles, better color accuracy, and better color uniformity."
Sure, u can "claim" that statement is an opinion by pulling the "beauty is in the eye of thebeholder' and that ppl have different preferences therefore TN is just fine...or my dog's uncles cousin's newphews son can differentiate .02 response time to 0.0treefitty response time, see? Frame 93 i saw an arifact therefore tn is better bro. "
Like ive said before, I POST in the BEST interest of the consumers. What i say will most likely be the probably ourcome of what a consumer willl see(ex this bad contrast ratio loooks washed out"") "Hipster disagreements such "500:1 TN contrast ratio is acceptable bro, 1100:1 ips contrast ratio may not be for everyone, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, just turn on your lights, ur just opinioning bro, u need to chill out".
Bringing up technicalities to twist my words into an opinionated statement is what i call "coping ". I may come off blunt which may seem like i come off abrasive and condescending, but fact of the matter is, you just dont wanna hear it(regardless if its true) If u feel bothered by it, feel free to let me know and i will stop.

I don’t know English and use google translator. For me it is very similar in meaning.RLCScontender wrote: ↑19 Apr 2020, 12:22but don't you find it kind of sad that the sole reason to buy a TN are better response times, yet my Nano panel clearly is just as fast, yet it has 98% DCi-p3, 133% SRGB, better viewing angles, more accurate colors, better uniformity, etc etc.

Finally I found why FPS Mode on MSI looks more "grey". !!!!!!!!
https://www.msi.com/blog/the-amazing-di ... ng-monitor
I tested it and its look more great than I thought, idk why I was more excited in colorish colors
Im keeping the MSI Mag DUE THIS MODE, THEY BOUGHT WITH THIS ONE, damn it is so good, why I used oversaturated colors lol
It is literally game changer if you just test it in fps game.
it makes ur enemies see much more due to less green and more visible everything else, like red color (crosshairhit, red nicks above) - perfect for cod mw
Game designers. And let's make acid colors so that on any monitor for $ 20 everything looks colorful and bright because children love bright colors.
Somewhere at vendor msi. Marketers communicate with engineers.
Marketers. we need the monitor to have at least 5 profiles with ready-made presses.
Engineers .. well, we'll take presets from other manufacturers and just rename them.(All Equally no one in their right mind uses them. This they emphasized in benq and their wonderful profiles.)
(Having borrowed a preset from the asus called "moba".)
Marketers .. Excellent asus cleaned the green color of grass in "league of legends" and "dota". So we will remove the green color of grass in FPS games. Well, of course, we’ll allegedly conduct studies in which it helps ......
The owner of the monitor. Hooray I got a super ips monitor with amazing colors. And come on, I’ll now turn on the “fps” preset and make a black and white TV out of my 10 bit panel. After all, it was for the sake of colors that I chose ips.
forii I hope you understand that this is nothing more than a joke.
I often do not clearly state my thoughts. google translate is far from perfect. And in addition to the translator, I myself am mistaken. Do not take me seriously.

Re: My subjective opinion/review about MSI MAG251RX. (Top1 240Hz IPS for sure)
Wow, within two days of ordering, my mag251rx is coming today! I truly wouldn't have repurchased it if this thread never existed. Ill try out the msi gaming app. Apparently u can use macros to give u an instantaneous edge above the competition
From what i hear, the app's "zero latency" option is only available on one game. Ill check it out for myself. For new owners of the msi, check for image retention and stick pixels. Bcuz sometime they have poor quality control.
I miss 3ms g2g on 60 hz console. The msi is the only ips or any monitor in the world that could pull off those low g2g on 60hz

btw ima post a workaround to the brightness lockout if u want to use backlight strobing. U could use nvidia control pan but the colors and accuracy.wont be the same
There's an app where i can control the natural brightmess of the msi, without the expense of color inaccuracy

So not to sidetrack the thread, and NOT taking sides. But I want to let you guys know something when it comes to the debate of how RLCS talks.
#1- Ok, so its one of his threads (and the way he talks in it) that brought me to BlurBusters in the first place. From a google search. So he is the sole reason I found BlurBusters in the first place and the sole reason I came here and joined. No joke.
#2- All said and done, that thread and his opinions do seem to be coming true here, right...? More people seem to be leaning towards liking this MSI more than any other after they test it for themselves.
So may sound rude, may sound like bashing, etc.. but all in all, for the most part when it comes down to brass tacks AFTER the dust settles, he is right ! So that earns something there. And it is indeed helpful too (you gained 1 member so far from him and him alone posting)
I think when technology is changing, this happens a lot. When someone jumps the gun just a little cause they can see the direction its going, others clinging on to tried and true will still (and rightfully) defend the past due to the few tried and true things about it. This is common and smart on BOTH sides.
RLCS sees IPS will now eventually take over. (cause I think it will). He might be calling it out a little early, but sees the writing on the wall. So there is no reason for TN very very soon. (unless dollar is your main concern). But at this exact junction timing, there is still a few things TN holds.
Hey I bet eventually OLED will get to240hz/ 1ms right ?? And then this debate will be happening again with IPS vs OLED.. haha Come on, its just nature. And people have different timings in them as far as when they say its finally over for a design.
My 2 cents - I will say no more on the subject. But my only point was that RLCS isn't bad in my eyes for the WAY he talks and the INFO and REASONINGS he provides. Now for some reason claiming this original poster didn't even own or buy the panel ? lol That I don't know about. That was weird and not right, I agree.

Re: My subjective opinion/review about MSI MAG251RX. (Top1 240Hz IPS for sure)
my new MSI MAG251rx came today.(luckily the warehouse was in the same city )
i need a second opinion.
The backlight bleed on the upper left top bezel is kinda distracting on a black background. Do all MSI look like this? Forii, what does your MSI look like on a black background? Good news is, it doesn't have any dead pixels unlike my previuos one.

For point of reference, this is my previuos MSI mag251rx. It had a dead pixel but i don't recall having backlight bleed(only on the bottom corner, but not on the top bezel where it's extremely distracting)

should I return or not return? zero dead pixels is a great thing, but the BLB on the upper bezel is kinda distracting for some reason.

MSI is easier to come by in the united states compared to other models like alienwareJoel D wrote: ↑07 May 2020, 13:51Where are you guys getting them ? the place where i ordered mine had a warehouse in the same city i lived so i was able to get it delivered within 1 day
it would've been more than a week if it was elsewhere
Re: My subjective opinion/review about MSI MAG251RX. (Top1 240Hz IPS for sure)
Mine has slight blb in the two bottom corners, but I don't mind it as it isn't visible with anything besides a pure black background. I wouldn't return it unless you can verify they, or another vendor, has another available. obviously availability is horrible right now.RLCScontender wrote: ↑07 May 2020, 16:07my new MSI MAG251rx came today.(luckily the warehouse was in the same city )

Re: My subjective opinion/review about MSI MAG251RX. (Top1 240Hz IPS for sure)

I purchased this BRAND NEW. I don't mind BLB but the one I got was very distracting. Any BLB on the top bezel is a big no no because you look at that area alll the time. If it was in the corners ,i would've kept it but this one is on the top bezel which gets extremely distracting.
Even watching movies, whenver there's a dark scene, i would see that backlight bleed being shoved down my thread.
I packed it up and returned it via UPS. i don't regret it one bit
0/3 so far
