If the 4ms is only achieved with massive amounts of overdrive, then you'll see significant inverse ghosting before ULMB is even enabled, I fear.

Another great review, and this monitor has turned out far better than I expected, personally.

Shame that the ULMB section was not so detailed. Hopefully Mark will get his hands on one and can dive in a little more. Curious to see how this monitor at ULMB @ 100Hz compares to something like the Eizo Foris with Turbo240, for instance

I'm impressed with the input lag results. Lowest on the charts. I wonder, at 3 ms total with virtually zero processing lag, is the Acer using a newer revision G-SYNC board or is that incidental to the panel?

Not for me... the price looks like it will be around $900.

That's just a pre-order price. I expect a lower MSRP will be settled on closer to April

This is definitely better than I expected. I won't be replacing my ROG Swift with one, but if I didn't have a Swift I think I would get the Acer. If the ultrawide curved Acer performs as well as this I'll definitely consider that upgrade.

aaaaaaand amazingly they did a flawless job of overdrive control

i'm not really familiar with lcds but i think this may be the best overdrive control (consistent, fast, no overshoot) ever on an lcd monitor
