Disabling the high precision event timer (hpet) will most likely solve the problems described by the original poster. This should be done in the bios.

@Martinengo, here is my system running a couple sessions of Fortnite (I started LatencyMon monitoring before launching Fortnite both times, and then stopped it after exiting Fortnite)...

1st session:

While a couple of your recent LatencyMon captures are a bit worrying (seems to possibly be a storage related issue? I would have to have hands-on access to help troubleshoot this further, and that obviously isn't a practical option), I will say that trying to "optimize" your system just to ultimately get lower numbers in LatencyMon can potentially become an insanity-inducing wild goose chase full of obsession and diminishing returns (including attempts at system timer tweaks; HPET, etc).

My troubleshooting steps for this and the frametime spikes in my previous post still stand:

And I don't know what you had it set to in those recent LatencyMon captures, but again, too low of a polling period in Afterburner (e.g. not the default 1000ms) can absolutely contribute to these higher numbers in LatencyMon:

^ I don't know. He didn't say. That's why I told him to try both hyper-threading on and off. Mine is on (8700k).

Beautiful numbers. Much better than mine.

Bet I could clean up my numbers if I did some optimizing. Or even just a clean reboot before game lunch.

I'll wait till my next "clean Windows reinstall" cycle though. Too much to do, and the numbers are still comfy enough for me.

Try getting msi utility v2 and turning on msi mode interrupts for your gpu driver and then see if it has any improvements to the stuttering.

I dont think that option is in my bios, and according to what I've read, my i7 9700k doesnt have hyper threading.

I have a Gigabyte Aorus Ultra Z390, and I havent find that setting on BIOS, althogh I've disable it on Device Managers, but I cant seem to find that option in BIOS, even searching on google or the manual, I sadly dont see it.

Those numbers are amazing. Yeah, I'm not using the 100ms poiling rate anymore, I've been using 1000. Opening Fortnite always led to 1000us on latency mon, even Rocket League increases it. Other drivers sometimes have high us, but consistently speaking: nvlddmkm.sys that one tends to increase, but sometimes other drivers increase as well (not sure why), but I havent been able to stay at the numbers you mention, regardless of opening a game or not.

Wow, these numbers are unbelievable, and you frame rate in fortnite is amazing. Do you think you could monitor a whole match of fortnite with msi afterburner to check your frametimes?

What are your specs?, mine are not close to being like that at all.
