I believe sharing FW and experience is important here. I was pretty surprised after reading Rtings re-evaluate based on the OD120 because it’s clearly not the case with what I am seeing with my display on FW 105. Did they ever mention what firmware they had? They mentioned checking again if there’s a FW update. Maybe I missed it?
I haven’t tested any blur methods but I seem to lean more towards 280hz, OD120, VRR off, DCDI (or whatever it’s called Dcci or whatever in display settings, Off. just reporting what mine is at not real reason why) Gsync, Vsync of course off. With the titles I have experimented with, Siege, Warzone, BFV, and nothing has stood out in terms of blurring, ghosting, or tearing. Meaning I have not noticed anything that I’m like wooo back back back. Just curious if anyone has tried these? I haven’t taken a closer look but to be 100% clear I have not had the freshest eyes during gaming sessions. What I believe is the difference and please understand this should be taken with a massive amount of not enough sample time, not looking super closely or literally just plain missing the obvious, is the response time. It’s seems faster enough I haven’t changed it back since experimenting. I made the rtings suggested change and did a close look at the UFO test and that was a huge no back to OD120.
After stumbling back in here (thank you too all!) and seeing the suggested shadow boost change, I believe mine is set to dynamic/auto or whatever mode it’s called that isn’t 1/2/3 I’d have to look I just know it’s there. I’m looking forward to looking at this today when I haves moment.
I don’t think PC specs matter here but my FPS is around 400 in Siege most of the time and Warzone mostly around 180ish with rare dips to 155 and highs around 205/210 during gameplay.
I have Windows GPU advanced settings enabled and respective games .exe added to Windows apps. This is in 2004.
