asus z690-p d4 + samsung b-die 2x8 cl14 3200
The problem is probably your motherboard/skill at tuning ram. I have 2 b.die kits. 2x8gb 3600c16 and 2x16gb 3200c14. Both feel good, run same timings/freq. 2x8gb kit can run 1T G1 at max frequency imc can handle and requires a little less voltag, but that's it.
My end config for both kits is 3900c15 with the exact same sub timings. Mouse feels exactly the same.
no problem on same settings on z390.
ok, just buy 12700k, better then amd and others, just buy.
no. I went from i5 3330 to a 5700x3d and oddly enough my i5 3330 seemed more responsive than the 5700x3d. I couldn't stand it and had to buy a 12600k to see if it was really a difference in platforms or the old processors were more responsive due to having less RAM latency, less bios settings, etc... and no, the 12600k is much better in terms of latency and mouse sensation. the 5700x3d was less responsive and the mouse seemed a bit floaty to me, now my performance has improved 100% after having an intel ddr5 kit.

Intel is a lot easier to fix lag on...
...But there are some unorthodox $20 solutions for AMD lags:

i have better perfomance and mouse input on 5800x then 12700kf / 13700kf z690/z790
5700x, 5800x, 7700, 7700x best cpu for right now.
