Hi,

1) I think yes, as per my understanding, you can adjust strobe pulse width through the "persistence" slider. As indicated in the software, the slider max to the left will give the best motion clarity (faster pulse width aka shorter pulse width) but at the expense of brightness. That's why I choose brightness=100 (max value in OSD) and only then I adjust the "persistence" slider. The other slider (strobe phase) is for adjusting where the crosstalk artefacts are bigger (because they are not the same along the vertical axis), and usually you want them at their smallest in the middle of the screen.

2) Yes, I have had XL2546K and I used this software to adjust the strobing. Now I have XL2566K and it works too. I can see the brightness decreases when I push the "persistence" slider to the left.

3) I don't know/remember about that, sorry.

Hi,

1) I think yes, as per my understanding, you can adjust strobe frequency through the "persistence" slider. As indicated in the software, the slider max to the left will give the best motion clarity (faster strobe frequency) but at the expense of brightness. That's why I choose brightness=100 (max value in OSD) and only then I adjust the "persistence" slider. The other slider (strobe phase) is for adjusting where the crosstalk artefacts are bigger (because they are not the same along the vertical axis), and usually you want them at their smallest in the middle of the screen.

thanx
does anyone get this problem 3?

Fixed it for you. Pulse width is not related to frequency.
(Strobe frequency is locked to refresh rate).

Test setup:
Zowie XL2586X; (Device name: BNQ7FE2)
DP 1.4 port;
Nvidia GPU;
As per Benq's driver .INF file, the HDMI device name is: BNQ7FE3

Any chance that one of these would allow for adjusting the persistence / pulse width on these new DyAc2 models?
BenQ has swappd to (discrete / 10-steps / 10 backlight strips) rolling scan as opposed to the standard global scan behavior of DyAc/DyAc+

0xF9 seems to be adjusting brightness (25700 — 100%; 25698 — 98% etc.)
0xF0 & 0xF4 seem to be adjusting the overdrive.

Here are also the results for the Zowie XL2566K (DyAc+; global scan; Device name: BNQ7FB7)

Thanks for posting.

Surprised that the 10-year-old utility still works on recent XL2586X's

The utility benefits old low-Hz BenQ's much more than newer high-Hz BenQ's, but I'm glad the utility is still working without modifications by using Profile B.

Verify www.testufo.com/mprt if adjusting brightness = pulsewidth (MPRT indicator changes) or brightness = pulseheight (MPRT indicator doesn't change). Make sure to speed up MPRT indicator to the fastest motion speed you can tolerate, and then also decimals to see 0.25ms MPRT rather than integer MPRTs. So you can figure out if adjusting brightness = adjusting pulsewidth (has blur change) instead of adjusting pulseheight (no blur change)

You can add new monitors by editing BlurBustersStrobeUtilty.ini file.

I'd like to clarify that the link didn't work for Chrome and Brave on my side, but it did work for Firefox to download it.

I'd like to get the utility working on my XL2546X. It doesn't work with manual A/B profiles or any other method; the monitor is simply connected via DisplayPort.

I was wondering how I enter my XL2546X's information into the software's .ini file? That's something I don't know how to do.

Edited:

I've managed to found the monitor name (BNQ7FC7) for XL2546x and able to run it with Profile B but only the brightness slider actually work, the strobe phase slider does not work, probably because i put wrong info on the .ini but i don't know where to found the proper information for the XL2546X.
