WELP, ive confirmed it.
Acer didn't bother adding any refresh rates and codecs when playing on hdmi. Basically they're HDMi 2.0 ports are useless for this panel

This explains why acer didnt provide any HDMI cables inside the box.
To me, it's very important necause i intended to play games via ps5 and series x on the moni
For the 98% of ppl, most dont find that a big deal and will enjoy the fast response times and low input lag.

Guys, the msi mag251rx is still king of 240hz ips. Even if the g sync predator can get over 60hz via hdmi, i hated the fact that i had to move my eyes so much since the screen size was too big. Eye movement=it will seem like u are playing on slow motion from the opponent's point of view.

Excessive Eye tracking and difficulty having the right focal point cost me plenty of games. I will never go back tp 27" 1080p.
i remembered weeks earlier u were arguing your point that 27inch 1080p is no difference to 25 inch 1080p and u can sit further back bla bla or push the monitor further. Now you change your mind?

we all along had mention that for 1080P, 25 inch is the max size to go due to peripheral vision and u blatantly argued. Now u changed your mind? lmao.

just because now u claim the mag251rx is the best, another defending the purchase talk.

Didnt we told u that earlier that 25 inch is the way to go for 1080p like long ago? You still created a lengthy paragraph to state that 27 inch just need to sit further back and all those bullshit pixel ratio bla bla. hahaha. oh well.
something has to be done with the nutcases in this forum. I may come off abrasive at times with unpopular opinions w/ an extremely blunt demeanor but this dude here legitimately gives me the creeps. Now he's repeating himself.

Gonna put this dude on ignore. Dude comes off very stalkish.

Am I going crazy reading posts about overclocking the CPU through MSIAfterburner? Each has its own characteristics. :(

I use MSI afterburner to overclock my CPU(but i immediately turn it off once i'm done gaming).

I can do this all day every day and i'm still shocked how fast this monitor is. Here's another UFO test 6/19/2020

btw, i did see some overshoot transitions on my oscilloscope occasionally, but it's under 1% and it's so feint that it's hard to see. 99% of transitions however do NOT have an error rate, and less than 1% of transitions do.

#1 in response times
#1 in input lag
#2 in best OVERALL 240hz IPS monitor behind the MSI MAG251rx
#3 in peak performance (behind the asus vg259qm/vg279qm)

phpBB [video]

ULMB will be tested rigorously today

i found the PERFECT distance of where there's NO retinal movement or any focal point problems of 27" 1080p without compromising peripherals. I measured at 44". however, visual acuity distance is 41.1" inches or 104cm away from the screen(for a point of reference, visual acuity distance for any 24.5" 1080p monitor is 39" inches or 100cm, 40" inches or 101.5cm for the optimal focal point distance.

visual acuity distance=The minimum distance where a person with 20/20 vision can no longer see any individual pixels
Optimal Focal point distance=the distance where a person has the least retinal/eye movement/eye tracking that doesn't compromise peripheral vision of the screen. which is the optimal distance for competitive use.

To be mindful, everyone's different. Those are just the ones i measured for ME. For general computer use, i sit way closer to the monitor (24-28 inches away) and me personally, can't even see any individual pixels at all. The visual acuity distance was based off the visual acuity distance calculator i used.

That UFO test is looking pretty great. I've decided I'll wait a bit before upgrading my XL2411Z, as it seems like the next few months / year will be a turning point as far as the IPS vs TN technologies goes. 360Hz will probably a game changer for me, I know Alienware announced that their 360Hz panel is IPS, but I'd be curious to know if the Samsung one will be TN.

If there is other people violating forum rules, please use the "Report Post" feature.

This thread has earned an indeterminate time-out due to repeated Forum Rule Violations (Be Nice To Users, even those you disagree with). I'm highlighting your posts as an example.

The moderating workload has exceeded acceptable threshold, which requires a strategic thread-lock to cool things down for now. Moderators of these kinds of forums are typically an unpaid volunteer activity, and repeat rule violations just make it unfair.

You (And anybody else), please... Do not antagonize users, nor feed trolls, nor be mean to newbies, or to annoying simple questions. Sure, you may be annoyed. But disagreements need to be accomplished cordially. Popular thread will generate popular traffic, and you must deal with the increased replytraffic without being annoyed by the firehose of replies you like less than others. Sometimes they're just great users who have healthy skepticisms. None of that is allowed here. We don't throw banhammers as aggressively as some forums do, but we can't just let fine lines be walked. Please do not test the "Forum Rules" needle or push limits of rules just because a moderator wasn't paying attention for a few days.

While you've got some healthy inspirations by Blur Busters and appreciate your improvements of pursuit camera tests (and heeding of various advice), we need to keep these forums tame.

The Rube Goldberg Machine of Dominos of Chaos Theory Butterflie:
1. You Post a Popular Forum Thread
2. Popular forum threads Attract More Traffic
3. More Users Reply
4. More Newbies Reply
5. More Repetitive Questions Occur
6. More Disagreements Occur
7. More Frustrations Occur
8. You Get Annoyed.

Yes, I get it, you all forum fans; We love that Blur Busters Forums is popular!

But.....popular Threads Are Not An Excuse To Be Mean To Users.

Note: Blur Busters Forums is unlike Twitter because moderators successfully try to balance the difficult line. Moderating decisions are stressful and never easy: Do we ban a user and make them angry; or do we remind users to behave? Most businesses don't run forums or comment boards because of the difficulties of taming a board -- but Blur Busters has this forum. We have to live with these difficult (and sometimes delayed) moderating decisions. Our Forum is a walled garden of niche temporal display topics, not a lightly supervised 4chan/8chan/Twitter/whatever.

Instructions: Report Post Button (Exclamation Mark)

Volunteer moderator workload means we may not be able to catch posts quickly unless "Report Post" is done. Anybody who needs to report a post (that you think is violating Forum Rules) should click the exclamation mark button at the upper-right corner of any rule-violating posts, regardless of whose posts.

Image

This automatically notifies all moderators about potential rule violation. The poster will not know that you reported the post. None of us can read every single thread everyday. We depend on other users to report posts for faster moderator action.

Please send a PM or Administrator Email if you want this thread thread to be unlocked. We know it's a popular thread, but there's too many rule violations that will need to be undone before this thread is reopened.

Appreciated & Thank You
