That thread and image set definitely answer some questions I had.
- You replace ALL of the monitor's electronics, not just the G-sync board.
- You lose the monitor's OSD and all picture adjustments.
- It comes with a DisplayPort cable.

I did notice there's a booklet with warranty information in it. How will this upgrade affect the monitor warranty?

Interesting... Id like to know with the updated ULBM if there will be future options to modify the strobe intensity as Im hopeful for the option to run at the current modified equivilent of 10% Lightboost. She notes its brighter and less washed out as well so hopefully that cascades down to lower settings at some point. As it stands now however it seems the only options are on and off (likely 100% brightness)

It should be cool to compare the modified stock Lightboost to ULBM though (is the U for Ultra? ;) )

Ultra Low Motion Blur.

I've created a new thread in the LightBoost forum to begin discussing this feature.

Regarding the giveaway, which we are all anxious to see the results :P, I was thinking of something.
You said yourself that lots of submissions are really god and will make it hard for the judges.
If I understand correctly you guys will pick the ones you like the most and draw 5 among them.
Here is my idea: have honorable mention on top of the 5 winners and maybe they could win something blurbuster related like a t-shirt, a mug, special forum title . . . ill let you think of something if you like my idea :P

Herro! I'm Anthony from Hawaii...aka Akoni! I am a PC competitive player that streams matches and recently upgraded my rig over and over again for Battlefield 4. I also play other FPS games. I built my PC and a lot of my friends PC. For Xmas, I bought the ASUS VG248QE monitor after reading all the praise from this website. Not to mention the price was simply amazing during the sales. Some of my other hobbies consist of working on my car. I built my motor in my garage from pan to cover with all the pieces everywhere. I also custom built my transmission to exceed 200mph and I get well over 25mpg on my turbo car. I also have a Electronic degree aside from my other degree, and worked as benchtech replacing board and etc. I am the solder master, so have no fear there.

My favorite page from the site has to be this, http://www.blurbusters.com/faq/120hz-monitors/ I would have viewed this for hours and hours before pulling the trigger on my monitor. I also recommend this site to all of my friends for the best knowledge on the high frequency monitors. I explored every inch of this site that then lead me to the G-SYNC! Unfortunately, Overlord has no more monitors, and I found some other vendors that require you to mail your monitor into them. I know I am highly capable to install the board my self, so why not just do it?

If I won one of the G-SYNC...I would probably just die. I would stream the installation via twitch.tv to my followers, and then post the video on YouTube as well of me doing this. After completion, I would be so happy and play as much video games to see the difference. I believe these slight changes can give a huge advantage against the competitor.

It's an interesting idea! Not even the other sites are doing it (at this time). That said, Blur Busters is still very small compared to the big sites, so it is something I need to keep in mind for a future contest/giveaway! I've decided to throw in at least some consolation prizes (minor ones) as a donation out of my pocket. Keep tuned.

Hey Anthony!
I am so sincerely sorry :( :( :( ... but our GSYNC giveaway has ended January 1st! But if it helps, I'd like to mention the good news that NVIDIA plans to make available the standalone GSYNC kits sometime during January 2014. Availability will dramatically improve by the end of the winter.

...but as a consolation, we'll include you in the drawing for the minor prizes!

Nice that you are considering it. I was thinking since the contest also helped launch your forum, something just to show how blurbusters is awesome would be a nice touch. Don't need to spend a fortune for things like custom Forum title for example. But if you say you thought about minor prizes its even better, i mean getting the community involved (with this contest and personal introduction) and then feeling appreciated (by the little extra touch) is sure to go a long way in the growth of this forum.

Compared to a G-SYNC upgrade board. :D
We're not currently giving away GTX Titans or Alienware laptops -- even though we'd love to.
