Yes this is not correct, a battery cannot "store" any kind of wiring fault or electrical noise, no matter how broken your wiring is and how much harmonics there is in electricty from your socket, as long as you don't have laptop plugged in the battery will provide clean DC power

it was only my assumption as people have stated that there laptop continues to have the issue even when not plugged in, so than it would not matter if they are far away from something or not because what would be the difference.

Sometime in spring 2019 I was in a discord call and all of a sudden I lose internet, apparently my modem got struck by lightning, it got replaced within a few hours with a new one.

Ever since the day lightning struck the modem, got it replaced, my monitor did not feel like it was running at 60hz, mouse felt like it had an artificial weight added.

Every PC I try feels the same worse than 60Hz feeling and artificially heavy mouse movement, in my case there is no software tweak that fixes this.

Tried different peripherals too, same behavior.

I later almost exclusively used a guest LAN PC at my friends house who didn't have the issue until sometime in 2023, he had a new wall outlet installed, from then on he had the same shitty less than 60Hz feeling and artificial mouse weight added.

I genuinely don't fucking know why, I'm sick of this problem it just makes the computer a chore to use and multiplayer is complete bullshit.

Yeah it sucks so much. I wonder if it's something to do with when we had new things wired, like the modem for you and the outlet for your friend. In my dad's house everything was perfect with old wiring from the sixties, he then got new bathrooms and kitchen installed which required them 'updating' all the wiring, also a smart meter was installed for the first time. Maybe there's a connection there. Last thing I can try is moving to an old house that's never been updated I guess.

I've read before that some people had this issue caused by a smart meter as well, but shit, you have a better chance moving to another place.

You could I guess try diagnosing by switching off electricity in the bathrooms and test to see if there's a difference, the kitchen after if there was no difference.

Mobile data while outside? Do you have a a 2.4/5ghz access point outside? Could be a very congested channel if you live in an area with many neighbors and connections. I went through all the channels and my second to last was the least congested.

Search for a tutorial or if you know how to swap 2.4GHz/5GHz channels on your router's access point or if you have a dedicated AP lookup how to access it and configure it for the second last channel, or if another one works better try that one, you can use the WiFiAnalyzer app to see if it's less congested.

You guys are hillarious. I had this problem in a literal desert on my laptop. Where was the interference coming from? Was the EMF coming from my Amarok pick up truck or is the dirty power from my Anker charger to blame? Lmao.

You can literally build DIY Faraday cage for less than $100 and confirm that you don't have EMI/Power issues. All you need is some tape, chicken wire mesh, 4x4 frame and proper grounding or you would rather to stay delusional and claim it is lighting and smater meters that is causing this problem.

Imagine even THINKING that smart meters are the problem when you have 90% + gamers that have smart meters in their homes and it doesn't cause them any problems. Why do you think YOU are different? Do you not think before you make comments like that?
