I posted on OC.net, it doesn't work without that drop down selection I'm finding.

Do you have a Windows 7 installation somewhere to try it? No one until now had the balls (or required hardware and software) to try it. You are almost there :p. I want to confirm that the bug is not only on my end. And then post the evidence that I already have + confirmation from someone else in the latest Nvidia drivers thread, and see if Nvidia reads it and puts it as an option for everyone.

By the way, now that you have the 3D Vision 2 kit, you probably want to check this in case you didn't know about it: http://helixmod.blogspot.com.es/2013/10 ... dated.html

You won't want to go back to 2D gaming ;).

Sorry no Windows 7. I was going to try a few things to emulate Windows 7 compatibility mode before I send the 3D Vision 2 kit back to Amazon. Never cared much for 3D, I find VR a better "alternate" experience. ;)

Oh, too bad. Did you at least try it with some games? It can take some time to "get it", but in my opinion it's the biggest improvement in videogame presentation since the transition from 2D graphics to polygonal graphics. I could make a really big paragraph explaining how great 3D is, but you can imagine what I would say (and I think that most people that dismiss 3D is because they haven't tried it properly or during enough time).

Ya I tried it for a few hours. Don't care for shutter glasses/flicker. More interested in ULMB+G-Sync really!

Masterotaku, are you sure the back light was strobing in sync with the G_Sync frame pacing? IE: 40 FPS the screen would only strobe 40 times?

100% sure. At less than 40fps there was double strobing, so putting a fps cap at 40fps could make the game double strobe at small random intervals, which I guess happened because of small differences in frametimes (getting like 39.99fps randomly instead of flat 40fps), but using 41fps corrected that behaviour.

That 40fps lower limit isn't because it's 1/3 of 120Hz, because I also created a 100Hz custom resolution and it was the same.

Edit: that other time I encountered the G-Sync + ULMB bug (in a weirder state) in June I didn't have enough time to look for the single strobe limit, so that's one of the first things I did this time :p.

It's a rather believable "bug" because of how the NVCP works. Remember you can set a "GPU scaled" 360hz refresh rate on a Benq monitor? And the fact that people have already gotten FREESYNC working on DVI and HDMI on *NON freesync monitors* also....

As you guys can see right here.

http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php ... ost5343517

So its easy

Freesync over DVI and HDMI on monitors that don't have scalers (Korean monitors, etc). Gsync+ULMB synced..

Hey Alex, can you still handle 50hz single strobe?

Yes, but I try to avoid low fps anyway.

masterotaku is 2350 the widest pixels you've found that works while keeping 1440 vertical?
