News on the ROG Swift (PG278Q)

Talk about NVIDIA G-SYNC, a variable refresh rate (VRR) technology. G-SYNC eliminates stutters, tearing, and reduces input lag. List of G-SYNC Monitors.

Actually... ;)
Are you under an NDA or just letting tension build up? :)
Not sure. He has been under review embargo before though. So, who knows.

But in the end, it doesn't matter. These monitors will start coming out this year, and it's safe to assume that by the end of next year, gsync and freesync will be implemented in monitors from most major manufacturers. We've been waiting for a technology that fixes the vsync annoyances for about 30 years. We can wait a few more months, right?

WRONG.

I can't wait! I want it now!

I play games on a 1440p 60hz IPS monitor and tearing is ridiculous on my monitor. I can't enjoy the games I currently have knowing that this technology is right around the corner.

Oh ya? So Asus has a few tricks up their sleeves? Now I wonder if above 120 Hz ULMB would be possible... :o

Awesome! I wonder why that review didn't mention ULMB mode? Still, nearly everything about that review was positive.

They didn't even bother to review motion blur reduction. Neither did they review interpolation performance, especially at 720p and 1080p. Such glaring omissions.

Hoping for a review from a more reputable site soon.

I think it's more of a preview, tbh. Hopefully the likes of TFTCentral will review it properly and this side of Christmas

I google this pretty much every day. I do sorta wish a g-sync/freesync combo were available for an early adopter.. but omg.. want!
