Who you gonna call? The Blur Busters! For Everything Better Than 60Hz™

how about xg2431 ? it has 100 step od control so you can find best spot between ghosting and overshotprod1G wrote: ↑20 Jan 2022, 12:12i don't think it's that easy..
i play quake games mainly, so stuff moves fast, aka moving >600 ups, flicking rail or tracking lg on rocket jumping opponent.
that's why i dont use strobing, it does not really help me in these situations.
what i need is a ghosting and (excessive)overshoot free picture.
i'd rather go for an OD that has a bit of overshoot, than one with ghosting.
that's why i didn't like the 390hz acer. yes, everything was butter, input lag felt instant, there was only little motion blur, not needing strobing due to high refresh, but the ghosting caused by the slow ips response time was too much.
its a weird sensation, seeing details on the enemy clear, but having to deal with a long smeary trail at the silhouettes edge.
regarding XV252QZ and VG259QM (i look at 1440,1920,2400pps ufo speeds):
asus beats the acer, because it has more OD granularity.
i like OD120 and OD80, because the overshoot is white and not some inverted blue color, masking the ghosting somewhat.
at 2400pps, what translates to fast swipes or flicks ingame, it still has a noticable trail, tho.
the acer on the other hand only has normal and extreme OD.
normal beeing too slow, showing ghosting even at 960pps. extreme is too fast, overshooting noticably.
i had the same problem on the new 23,8 panel of the xg249cm. the fastest non overshooting OD was too slow, the next fastest too fast. i was hoping it had a service menu hack like the vg259qm, but it sadly didnt.
sorry for not providing ufo vids, ips tend to not look true to reality on my phone somehow.
in my case, i still have to give ips a pass.
vg259qm got really close though, but it still feels to slow for me.
as of right now the omen really is the best.
i got the itek ggf 288hz and another vg258qm coming tomorrow, i'll report on them later.
so strange that a old panel like the asus are better than those 2 `new` monitors , one using the same panel than the viewsonic , thinking on the 240hz ZU from aoc them..
Where did you get the xg249cm? Since it has same panel as xg2431 - It is the fastest IPs panel right now. I guess that vs the GGF will be the main toss up.pinginu wrote: ↑20 Jan 2022, 12:39there is a review of the VG258QM at rtings if you are interested in reading it. Itek GGF 288hz TN could have the panel from VG258QM.prod1G wrote: ↑20 Jan 2022, 12:12i don't think it's that easy..

Looks like the Itek ggf 288hz disappointed you. No reports or whatsoeverprod1G wrote: ↑20 Jan 2022, 12:12i don't think it's that easy..
