Any reason why the tool doesn't supply us with the numbers when we switch between PureXP modes? It seems to just leave the values we have stored for custom which I guess kind of makes sense. I would like to know the exact numbers used for Light, Normal, Extreme, etc...
ViewSonic kind of prefers to keep complete factory tuned settings private -- otherwise competitors could copy the settings for their pretuned modes without paying Blur Busters for the strobe tuning. It's that sorta thing.

However, the tuning range is wide enough to replicate the existing settings if you use measuring equipment and/or your eyes

That said, I can at least say the basics when it comes to Pulse Width (because it's quite a damn obvious brightness change):

PureXP Light = persistence at 40% of a refresh cycle
PureXP Normal = persistence at 30% of a refresh cycle
PureXP Extreme = persistence at 20% of a refresh cycle
PureXP Ultra = persistence at 10% of a refresh cycle

Custom allows adjusting pulse width in 1% increments from 1% to 40% of a refresh cycle.

I got 0 motion blur with the QFT technique @ 60FPS.

Actually amazing. Good stuff chief! Gonna see if I can push to 120FPS.

EDIT: Almost 0 motion blur @ 120FPS as well. Impressive!

You mean 0 strobe crosstalk :D
(AND 0 motion blur)

(We consider ‘motion blur” and “strobe crosstalk” as distinct display motion artifacts)

What would the setup for csgo look like? I cap my fps at 500, and get 450-499 constant. Was thinking of buying this monitor. Is it really dark with the purexp?

Very cool stuff. Are there any other Blur Busters certifications coming in the future? Maybe something for response time, input lag, etc? If not an approval, maybe a more accurate method that advertisers can use to represent specifications more factually. It's crazy how much of a difference there is between monitors. The average person buying a 1440p 144 Hz monitor doesn't realize they can be making the choice between two monitors that will perform VERY differently even though they appear to have the same specs. They don't realize one monitor might have TWICE as much latency as another or that the response times are probably 5x what they advertise on the box.

I have two Viewsonic XG2431’s and can verify I have around the same amount of IPS glow as the other two users screenshots. Just like them, both of mine have uneven IPS glow much more prominent on the right side when looking from the left. It seems to be a constant for this panel somehow to have uneven IPS glow like that now that we have a sample size of 4 that all have about the same amount.

Anyone have any suggestions to reduce the uneven IPS glow? I left one of mine running for 72 hours at max brightness and it made no perceptual difference.

Here are my results (both are the same monitor). Wasn't 100% if I was doing the pics correctly, but I was several feet away and locked my camera on a low exposure.

So we now have a sample size of 5 all with the same IPS glow from the right side while viewing from the left. That's unfortunate but at least this is much better than TN viewing angles.

This is good information though as people will hopefully not waste their time on RMA because of uneven IPS glow just to get another panel that has basically the same amount on the same side.

If you want to switch which side the bad side is (if you view more from the left of the monitor and don't want the IPS glow on the right), you may be able to use the panel upside down by switching the VESA mount screws. This might cause some issues with input lag, VRR, and text legibility though (RGB panel will become BGR).

Can confirm that I have the same amount of ips glow on the bottom right of the screen. I don't notice it unless my room is dark and I'm watching something w/ black bars (netflix)

It should be about the same in the top right and bottom right corners I believe. For the best experience, make sure your panel is tilted upwards if you are using the stand so it is directly in-plane with your eyes. Then you will probably see the same amount of IPS glow in both the top right and bottom right corners with the best viewing in the middle.
