No, it's not a must.

If no, alongside this combination for FPS gaming would you use ELMB or Adaptive Sync?
I would probably disable both ELMB and Adaptive Syn, but as I said, it depends on how many fps you are getting.
Currently I have the both settings off and get 200-270 FPS in Warzone.

Hello, I have a simple question,
Can I enable 280hz OC + 120 OD + ELMB all three together?
Also will it be simple or is it gonna be requiring more manipulation?
And if it's workable will it be normal or is it gonna have down side?
+ 8bit+FRC trick could this also work?

No you can't, ELMB will always force OD80.

Last time I tried it, the 8bit + FRC trick only worked up to 240hz.

So for someone getting 200-270 FPS in Warzone, what setting would you select; Adaptive Sync or ELMB?

Hi, can I get an update on the state of your monitor? Does it still work well or did you get a different one? I might be buying one of these, do you have any settings recommendations ?

OD60 280hz adaptive sync ON.

Alternatively, uncapped OD120 no adaptive sync.

Does anyone use the 240Hz 10 bit mode? Is it worth using or is the 280Hz OD120 8 bit better?

It's fast, faster than most first gen 240hz 24.5"IPS but definitely not as fast as the 2546K/XL2566K or other top TNs like the Omen X25/XN253QX.

In 2024 I don't really see the point of getting the VG279QM when stuff like the XG2431, XG249CM and S2522HG exist + 27" 1080p PPI is an eyesore.

Does anyone know why with this monitor I never have a fixed fps, no matter how much I lock the fps it always jumps even though I have way more fps than it is locked to, for example in cod2 I have 1000, but if I lock it to 250 or 333 or 500 it never stays fixed but jumps. I use it at 280 hz and od120 with rting icc profile. Would it be better in 10bit 240hz, or does this have nothing to do with it?
Additionally, with a 60hz monitor with the same PC, the fps did not jump at all.
