Hi! Recently saw this thread and was amazed on how extensive you guys tested out the settings. I was wondering if you guys can provide me and my brother with some help on our monitors also. They're quite niche picks and haven't seen proper guides/reviews on them.
We're using:
ASUS TUF VG249QM1A (270hz}
ASUS ROG XG259QN (380hz}
We'd appreciate any kind of feedback thank you!

Hi! I'm amazed with how widely tested this monitor is. I'm a rookie with monitor settings and meaning of the settings. Could someone help me out?
I'm a competitive Call Of Duty player so I'm looking for the fastest, but also the best visibility settings. I'm seeing a lot of people going with the 280 OC and OD120. But I see others sticking at OD80 or even at 240hz. I prefer to keep any type of sync btw. Is there anyone who has tested this monitor for Call Of Duty? Or are there any confirmed 'best settings' for competitive gaming that I missed out on? Any recommendations would be appreciated!

I'd recommend to enable G-Sync on pair with OD 60 and cap your FPS below 280 (i.e. 276).

I can't use this monitor
The game I play is valorant (160-300hz)
When the screen is moving so fast, it's so blurry that I feel like my eyes are out of focus
If you use ELBM, your eyes will hurt in a few hours
Moreover, even though it is IPS, when the background is white, the enemy's yellow highlight color is assimilated and lost
White crosshairs are also useless
I used various OD settings and rtings icc profiles, but these problems are not resolved
(When I was using LG's TN144hz monitor, I didn't have these problems)
I don't know much about monitors, but if you have any recommendations, please let me know
Thank you for your consideration.
sorry for my bad English (translated)

The general trend is moving towards the OLED panels. I'd recommend to wait for cheaper offerings.

Hey guys
I'm looking to buy this monitor but I only game at 240 Hz for pc, 120 Hz for console, and 60 Hz for retro games so I'd like to know if these x3 refresh rates are available options on the onboard monitor settings on the monitor themselves? I know that you can set the monitor to these settings on a pc but I want to be able to set the monitor to those x3 refresh rates without a pc and with consoles.

Heyo, I've Just bought this monitor due to the nice offer I found on Amazon. Just got It for 189€ which Is nice but I was wondering a thing: did anyone buy this brand new recently? And if yes, which panel did you end up getting? I've seen people here claiming newer batches may have slightly worse panels (AUO 25) compared to the OG ones (QISDA 25) and I was wondering if It Is still a problem. Than you in advice

Hey guys,
I'm new to owning a VG259QM. The last monitor I had was 144hz asus monitor. I was wondering if I should leave OC on and run 280hz all times? Will this lower the lifespan of my monitor or even damage it at all? Or should I just run at 240hz all the time? I'll be using this monitor mostly for gaming, so would be bit of a pain to switch back and forth. I'd rather just run a constant hz. That's why I'm wondering if I should just use this at 280hz all the time or if that will end up having negative effects, then should I just run at 240hz all the time??
Thanks!

I decided on going with 240hz, as I found maybe some increased lag when trying to run 280hz all the time. My PC in most games I play can get upwards of 280 fps, but in most cases is more around 240 fps.
Anyway, I will be returning this monitor. I've been using it for a week and it already has a dead pixel on the screen. Just ridiculous. ASUS's warranty states that the monitor needs 3-5 dead pixels for it to be fixed. Insane.
